Watched this at home for the 1st time and it sounded so good. The explosions and action scenes sounded almost as good as they did in theaters!

I have to admit, I had my doubts about this movie. The numerous re-shoots weren't a good sign and I doubted their ability to capture the feeling of Episode IV. Well, I was completely wrong. This movie feels like it takes place in the same universe as Episode IV, just from a different viewpoint. The cast does a phenomenal job of portraying their characters, the audio and video quality are top notch, and the steelbook package is great and (I think) the best version to get. There are a couple of times where the plot feels like it was intentionally slowed down (there's a lot to take in with this movie) and some elements don't mesh well. That's probably due to the multiple re-shoots but it's ok, the end result is a film worthy of baring the Star Wars name. I didn't have issues with the CGI characters. They definitely stood out but were well-done. Rogue One has the best Darth Vader scene of any Star Wars movie and expands on his mythos a bit more. We finally get to see how the plans for the Death Star were stolen. There are tons of special features, enough to keep fans entertained for hours on end. The 3D version is ok but you're fine sticking with the 2D version for normal watching. I highly recommend this for any Star Wars fan, it is truly a must have title in a stellar presentation and package.

This movie just pops on 4k, it is the best the movie has ever looked. On the extras side it is the same as the previous blu ray release with nothing new.

2nd best movie in star wars saga next to Empire Strikes Back. Great story and adventure. Enjoyable to watch over especially in 4K on oled.

If you are a fan of the Star Wars franchise then I am sure you will enjoy this movie and I would bet you've already seen it. On the other hand, if you are new to the world of Star Wars, this film is a good one to watch that doesn't require much prior knowledge. In fact, the writers do a good job of creating a movie that isn't hindered by the previous stories and audience members can follow along without feeling lost. The other good aspect for new Star Wars fans is that this is pretty much a one-and-done story. As for the Steelbook option, I would recommend getting this set if you are collector of the Steelbook films but otherwise it doesn't really provide much else.

This will be one of the best spinoffs in the Star Wars universe. Great story, and fantastic characters. Kudos to the writers!

Absolutely love this movie. We need more Star Wars like this! Even though this is on Disney+ there is nothing as great as physical 4K.

Incredible movie that expands the Star Wars universe with both new and old characters. No spoiler alert here but this movie is running in the parallel timeline as Star Wars (New Hope) from 1977. Look closely for a speaking cameo from our favorite robots. If you blink, you will miss them. The finale is spectacular yet for another beloved character who connects past and present so to speak. The battle scenes are epic as only Lucas Films can manifest. This physical package is beneficial for its Blue-ray, DVD and Digital copies. Blue ray in the SUV, Digital copy gets registered to Vudu for the family room big screen access, and the DVD is regulated to the teen cave.

Answers some questions between the prequels and original trilogy. If looking for Jedi or Sith not the right movie foe you.

This movie has an underrated soundtrack which shines in this release. Sounds great and looks up to spec for 4K. Ideal release of this film to own.

This may be the best Star Wars movie and certainly is one of my personal favorite movies of all time. Loved that it finally came out on 4k. Love it.

Finally available in 4k. I enjoyed this in theatres and on Bluray. making my way through the 4k box set and needed this to complete the collection.

A really cool side story/prequel to episode 4. Would be great as a stand alone film but makes a greatvstar wars film. 4k looks great!

Rogue One is easily one of the beast Star Wars films made.. Of the eight live action feature films, Rogue One is up there with The Empire Strikes Back. The film is set right before the original Star Wars film New Hope. In this film The Rebel Alliance send a small stealth team to steal the plans for the original Death Star hoping to find a weakness so they can destroy the weapon before The Empire can use it. Rogue is well acted and well paced. The drama and action is there and both hardcore fans, casual fans, and people who never watched the films can enjoy. If you are a fan of the films, especially the originals this is well worth the but. 5 stars!

This is a better Star Wars movie than there has been in a while. Love the story and the revisiting of some past characters.

This was really good and stayed with the nature and vision of the original films. Could have done with this and none of the prequels.

The film is amazing, but is the steel book worth it if your other Star Wars movies are clothed in plastic? I think this version can be. Compared to other non-standard cases, the construction is built to last. It does not stand out next to a plastic case, and the art work within is as gorgeous as the exterior artwork. It will fit nicely in your collection, in my humble opinion. What you get seems to be the same as other "BluRay+" sets. You don't miss out, but you are not exactly adding features purchasing this version. So, if the rest of your collection is not steel book, don't feel like you need to buy this version to experience everything.

I had serious questions about Rogue One from the first time I heard about a “prequel” to Star Wars IV: A New Hope. So, I decided to wait on others to share their thoughts about the movie. The only “spoiler” I heard was how “the movie ended where IV began.” Armed with this knowledge, I took the afternoon off from work so the theatre would not be plagued by “school aged” folks. I was very pleased with each new character as well as the way in which they were introduced. Of course, there were all kinds of “dove tails” in the script as well. Needless to say, the “special effects” involved with some of the characters blew me away. Watch this movie!

"Rogue One" not only shows us how the rebels got their hands on the blueprints to the first Death Star, it also shows us why the Empire built it with the flaw that allowed Luke to blow it up in "A New Hope". The film is funny at times despite the heavy subject manner, but its biggest failure is characterization. Other than Jyn, none of the other characters are fleshed out much, so by the end it's hard to care about them. It's great to have Vader back in this film, but I think the writers missed an opportunity to use him more. Instead, they rely on Krennnic as their main villain, but he sadly comes off as a whiny brat more than someone to be feared. I appreciate the many Easter eggs that call back to the other films in the saga, and I like the re-appearance of certain characters via CGI even if the effect isn't always 100% convincing. As for the Blu-ray itself, I like the steelbook packaging but admit I only bought it so I could own the 3D version of the film. Speaking of 3D, it adds depth to some shots in this movie, but there are zero pop out moments to be seen. The bonus features are lacking because Disney didn't see fit to include the trailers or any of the much-talked-about shots in those trailers that didn't make it into the final film.
