I love this Roku now that it's installed and my daughter taught me how to use it. It did required some extra cable and I couldn't have connected it by myself, although my daughter said it's not difficult. Anyway, it's well worth the price, except I still have to pay for Netflix and pay extra for Hulu and HBO-Go. But all that does not cost as much as getting premium channels through Direct TV, so I will continue to pay for it and enjoy it.

I really enjoy my Roku. I like that I can stream YouTube videos and my Pandora. I enjoy the movies on Netflix and I haven't even had a chance to review my other channels yet. I look forward to more exciting content on my new Roku device. I recommended it to my mother now she's getting one.

FINALLY cutting cable and moving to only free over-air and web-based TV providers, including Sling TV, has been working very well! Pre purchase and use, I was concerned about the performance of this model because of the slower processing hardware vs. the Roku 3, which was working very well for us paired with an HDMI capable TV. I also was concerned that this model (Roku 1) didn't have an option for hardwire CAT5. Both concerns ended up to be non-issues, as Roku 1 streams well to our old wall-mounted kitchen TV, and the image over plain old composite looks quite good. For compatibility with Sling TV, I had to update an early generation Roku model that had an assortment of outputs, including component and composite, but planned obsolescence is a "feature" across all brands. This current model Roku 1 update was much less expensive than updating one of our older Apple TV boxes, which also wasn't compatible with Sling TV.

Love it! This was an excellent choice. It provides excellent choices and is very user friendly.

Seller didn't offer me warranty! Not until Derek who was working on my computer n told him situation tjsy because of Derek in Geek Squad was I able to get me 4 year warrenty! Roku is great for the older TV's, easy to set up and use.

The roku box was easy to set up and easy for my elderly father to be able to navigate Netflix.

I was debating on which streaming device to purchase and I am sooo glad I chose the roku. I have found additional uses for it than I had even initially planned on using. Picture quality is great, easy to setup and am so happy with the purchase. Best $50 spent on electronics in a long time.

I have an old analog TV, it works great, can watch neflix and also youtube with no problems
