The unit looks good, runs perfectly and is easy to figure out. Good UI, great performance on a fairly low end wifi router. Does everything I've asked of it, parents are thrilled they can watch netflix.

Easy setup. Picture is great. Easy to use. Would definitely recommend. Especially for people like me that doesn't have any smart devices to watch netflix and other channels like that on the tv.

It is slower than newer versions but connects to older TV's and works great albeit a bit slower. Outstanding option for those that want to cut the cable. Very easy to install.

Roku seems to make a great product but this model does not allow for any modern versions of the apps you would expect. For instance Netflix is still the very first version. No profiles allowed. Good for the price but I will be upgrading to a newer version in the very near future.

With our children coming home for a visit. We needed access to TV channels that they like to watch; other than the over-the-air's that we regularly watch. This Roku fit the bill to a T! It was easy to install, came with the cable connections needed for our (older TV) set up, and has its own remote control. However, with a little more effort in programming, it even works with our Logitech Harmony remote :-)

A very good option for older tvs that need to be connected via component cables. A little slower than the later generation ones but still does the job quite capably.

I had bought this Roku 1 to replace my original that died after 6 years. It is very small and easy to use. The price is right.

I'm no stranger to Roku this one was for another member in our home but still is a great product easy to use streams seamlessly makes a great gift also got rid of cable.

one time purchase, has a few shows I enjoyed watching and didn't have to pay over 120 bucks a month for....very nice for those that just do HULU and Netflix and want a few other channels exclusive to Roku

Bought this for my 95 year old grandfather, he doesn't have cable and he gets bored with regular television. He loves it and it occupies his time with better programing. My family has one and we use it a lot in conjunction with cable. I recommend giving roku a try!

This is easy to use. Roku is a little slow but does perform. This unit is responsive and well worth the money. There are many channels to use but only a few fit my watching desires. But there is more to watch than I have a time for. Just watch your wifi usage.

I needed a way to show Netflix and Amazon videos on an old TV with no HDMI ports. This does the job very well and was easy to set up. I am very pleased.

The roku has to buffer quite frequently whereas the smart tv that broke never did. It kinda ruins a good movie/tv show. We put it far from the tv and that helps. Should've gotten model 2 or higher.

Very reasonable price for a device that offers so many video sources. PBS and the networks were unexpected and easy to find. People at Best Buy were very helpful to advise me that me the Roku 1 was what i needed for my RCA connectors. I am very satisfied.

This $50 purchase saved me money. I thought I would need to throw out my old TV which works, but I wanted to access Netflex, Pandora and other apps. My TV does not have a HDMI or USB ports so it great that is version can connect to the TV via composite cables. Also very inexpensive way to make a smart TV in comparison to other options. In summary, it saved my old TV, which I did not want to throw out since it worked and saved me hundreds of dollars on a new smart TV. I am only looking into a new universal remote for the digital antenna, TV, and Roku -- I am sure I will find something.

Roku is simple and easy to use. It always, just works. I would recommend to anyone. It's the best way to watch Netflix.

New tvs will have apps so this will not be necessary for too long. This is good if you don't have smart tv, Xbox, Wii, or PlayStation. I honestly don't use it enough to be fully satisfied. But, it works.
