I was so thrilled with how easy this was to setup and use that I bought one for my mother too.

This is a basic Roku without many of the features of other Roku devices. However if you need composite output like in an older TV, this is the only device that will do. Smart Blu-Ray players no longer have composite output so you can't use them either. It's less expensive than other Rokus so that's a bonus too.

I purchased the Roku3 for streaming content that wouldn't cost me huge monthly payments to a cable provider. I just need more time from work to fully enjoy my Roku3.

If you're looking to save money by ditching cable or just want to be able to stream new tv show and movies, the Roku is for you. I found set up to be easy and after using the Roku for a while now, I find more and more features that I appreciate. There are so many free channels and interesting features. I have several friends that are considering the same option of saving money and I plan on recommending the Roku.

This is the basic Roku unit which is all I needed to stream content on my television. Hook up was really easy, and the Roku website and support is very helpful. I like the fact that it uses little power and shuts itself down when not being used. I purchased this unit on Best Buy on sale and that also helped me decide to buy it. Anyone who wishes to stream content on their televisions should buy this device!

Easy set up. Works great. Had no problems. Worth the money. We like it. The speed is fast.

Thank you Best Buy for helping us find the Roku that was best for us. It is an awesome little device. It does not take up much space & is easy to set up. Now, it is just learning how to get all the many many channels & programs available on the front page. Great little device. Also, the people at Best Buy were right there with all the info we needed. I missed the part where it's IR not RF they used to make the lower end one with RF not IR that would connect up to older TV with RCA jacks. Otherwise I love it.

We "splurged" on this model since it offered a bit more than the basic model and we are very happy we did. Remote is a bit clunky - takes a while to get used to

Great for old TVs. Has hdmi too for when those who aren't ready to update are!

I bought this for my sister and she loves it, works better than her supposed smart tv that couldn't carry a signal

It is very easy to set up and has plenty of channels to watch. Great price too

The older version is best for us because it can be connected to older televisions with limited HDMI connections.

We have an older TV (2007) that is not a Smart T.V., so we needed something to stream movies and shows after we purchased Amazon Prime. This worked well for us.

Easy to set up and great size. We bought it to watch netflix and have been very pleased.

Very simple to use and to set up. I bought this as a Christmas gift for my live in mother in law. She has been using her iPad to watch Netflix and not using the 40" t.v. we bought her less than a year ago. Now she gets to watch Netflix along with keeping her other old timey shows. Keeps the wife happy, which keeps me happy.

I needed something for my old Insignia tube TV. The TV works great and I can't see getting rid of it so this Roku 1 is a great option for streaming to the TV.

Will buy again and recommend to others. Compact yet extremely functional.
