The Roku 1 has an impressive collection of streaming services available plus is the only unit that supports older TV's through composite connections. It does get very hot however. All Roku's apparently get hot. I recommend disconnecting power when not in use.

We have a Roku on all of our non smart TV's and we love them. Great alternative to cable.

I bought this to replace the xbox we were using to access N*tfl*x. It was so easy to set up she could have done it. Every once in a while she says, "Honey, thanks for getting me this." She loves the fact that the remote has a N*tfl*x button. Me, too.

I like it a lot there is always something to watch

This system was very easy to set up. The only thing we didn't like were the options on Netflix were different than what we were used to on the PS3. The PS3 allows different user profiles to be set up and the Roku only allows one profile. Other than that, very good way to stream!

My programs are always available, no longer have to wait for my favorite program to air.

I didn't have to purchase a new tv. Compatible with my old TV. Saved me a lot of money.

Good bang for your buck. Helps stream tv. We bought it as a gift and they are happy with it.

We have a second TV in the other room and wanted to be able to stream Netflix, Hulu and other apps. In the main TV in the living room we have a PS3 with the apps, but not in the bedroom. The Roku was very easy to setup and was working in minutes. I just wish it had You Tube.

My Roku makes it possible to get programming unavailable with conventional providers.

We have 3 of them and it has made watching TV a totally different experience for us.

This product does what it was advertised to do and have no problems. Easy to install.

My more expensive roku has much better screen grahics. However the movies look great.

This is my second Roku, the first being a Roku 2 XS. This one I hooked up to my HD TV in our bedroom, but had to connect it with the included cables FIRST in order to set it up. THEN I was able to get it to work with an HDMI cable. After that, it's been a great little box.

This product takes more navigating than I would like; it can be a little confusing.

I was got the floor customer service to explain the unit, how it works. I explained I had a Verizon jet pack for computer internet, they said it should work fine. I got a Verizon bill for 1 month 6x what my Internet bill usually. Your customer service person, did not explain I should know that the Internet service and streaming are different, and can cost more, or I should check it out. They just wanted me to buy it then. I feel they should tell an obvious newby, I told them I did not know about this, that I should look into century link or comcast for a bundle. That jet packs are not for high use streaming. It's way beyond a bring back period. The idea of saving money with your product, cost me more and I am unable to use it till I get a different service for streaming. I have been a loyal customer for many years. This is very poor floor customer service I recieved that day.

Enjoy using Roku and it is cost efficient and a great alternative to using cable.
