I bought this for my kids to use, as they are forever watching NetFlix on their laptops. They do enjoy watching movies on the big screen and find it easy to use. Setup was also easy.

this device works great, has many channels and so easy to set up. You can not beat the price. I have been able to cancel a couple of my movie channels because of it. There are so many channels to pick from and it does have amazon prime!

It's a great buy for additional rooms/tvs in the house. There is no lag with the Wi-Fi connection like some other devices I've had in the past. I have a Roku 3 in the living room, so it doesn't bother me that the 1 doesn't have a USB.

this is a great item for a television that is not a smart tv.

I got the Roku specifically to watch the WWE Network on my tv without having to hook my laptop up to it all the time and fumble around with sound cords, etc. The Roku comes with a remote, which is a major plus! I also have Comcast cable with movie channels. I think Cable is better than Netflix and other programs available on Roku because OnDemand is far more varied than the scarce selection on Netflix. I haven't used many of the other programs because I'm not going to pay for them and cable when cable gives me what i need (except for WWE Network). For my needs, Roku is perfect!! You can keep it plugged in all the time and don't have to mess around with computer and tv cords.. and I cannot stress enough how important that remote is! I'm not a brain with technology, so I hope this helps someone.

Roku 1 works great for an older TV. Easy setup, no problems.

We didn't pay a lot for the lowest model Roku and we are very happy with it. It was so easy to set up and very easy to watch shows. My kids love and it provides us a lot of entertainment. Absolutely worth every penny spent on it.

I really like the Roku. I've used PCs, PS3 and BR players for streaming in the past. Start up time/navigation for these devices do take a little longer than the Roku. Plenty of channels. I just wish I would have bought one sooner.
