I love my Roku streaming player. This product gave me the courage to give up cable. I was paying $85 per month for cable. I only watched two shows on a regular basis that required cable. Since I purchased the Roku streaming player I have found lots of things to watch. I primarily use Netflix, HuluPlus and Amazon Prime (which all require a small subscription fee). However, there are lots of others that are free. Also they have lots of choices to suit almost anyone's interest. For instance, I like global news and foreign entertainment. I have found several channels (or apps) that satisfies my interest. Overall, the Roku streaming player has allowed me to save money and enjoy more entertainment at the same time.

The Roku 1 is a compact, nicely designed media streamer. It may not have some of the bells and whistles that its bigger siblings, the Roku 2 and 3, have but what it does it does well

I bought this for a friend who was looking for something to be able to stream her Netflix on her TV instead of always using her laptop. Very easy to use and she absolutely LOVES it!!

Easy to use, set up, my android phone can run it. I haven't had any issues. All kinds of apps to use on one product and better than google chromecast.

The product works well. I got this as an alternative to watch live news but I am still figuing out how to I use this to wach live news. It would be helpful if Roku give a user manual with the product.

I have 2 individual preference with Netflix. One for me and one for my son. It's sucks cause it only uses one (main) so now my only Netflix recommendations are cartoons. Other then that it's great.

I gave my LT to my son when I received the roku1. It is essentially the same except for 1080 out vice 768 of the LT. Easy to set up, many channels, a lot of them free, and a hot button for NETFLIX.

Easy to set up. Goes great with hulu plus and antenna. Just got tired of all the reality and BS shows on television. Wish we had tried Roku sooner.

Got this for my parents who were terrified of new technology with an entry level Insignia 39" TV. They don't have cable but do have Amazon Prime and Netflix. The Roku is the perfect answer to get their streaming media off the computer and onto the TV. The only major complaints are the lack of a YouTube channel and the Facebook app has a weird layout and very limited features (photos and video from friends only), which presents a problem for my Facebook-novice parents, one of whom is disabled and can't easily transition between multiple media sources.

Great product for those who don’t have a smart TV or if you plan to buy a TV you don’t have to spent lot money on a smart TV and Roku can give you almost all stream access that smart TV will do.

Works well and easy to set-up for a person who knows nothing about these kind of products in the first place. I have used it for about 30 hours in the first month and have not had any problems.

I still have old tv in my house in both of my children's rooms. They both still work great and have no need to replace them right now. Eventually yes. No judging. haha. Since we switched tv providers my children had no way to continue watching netflix. Thsee work great and they have there bedtime shows back. These are the only ones that will work with the older TVs. The only thing I do not like is it requires a cc number. I do not like putting my card in because kids... Well you know like to push buttons and will probably end up charging my card for something. I would give 5 stars if it weren't for the credit card.

I bought the Roku mainly so that my elderly mother can access some of the British television that she loves. It is easy to install and easy for her to operate. A great Buy!

Works great, better than the apps on my "smart tv". Best value for a streaming device and extremely simple to connect/set up. Small device saves a lot of space around entertainment area.

This is so easy to use, and I love that I can download movies from Netflix, Amazon, Hulu, and I can rent from Redbox and Blockbuster. I have already recommended it to my friends and family.

Like this product. Easy to use. All the apps needed to start viewing. And easy to add more apps of your choice. Nice variety of programs and movies. Great way to catch up on missed episodes

The Roku delivers a TV-like experience for watching streaming content, but sometimes will freeze or need to reload. But the overall performance is strong, making this product a good value.

His is a great device for streaming media such as netflix. Its a great price point for what you get. Sorry I waited so long to purchase it.

The Roku 1 streaming player is very easy to set up and even easier to operate. There is no need to buy an expensive smart TV when the Roku gives you all of the shows and movies you need.

Makes any TV smart! Would be little easier if could use a keyboard with it, but with patience - perfect!
