Overall, this product is great for our intended viewing of Netflix and Hulu. It became even better when I found I could download channels of my favorite christian radio station, as well as Pandora. There are just two downsides to this product. 1.) You must pay your cable company for particular channels if you wish to view them on the Roku. If I wanted to pay my cable company, why would I buy the Roku? 2.) There is no power switch on the device so it cannot be turned off unless it is unplugged. If unplugged, the unit has to cycle through a reset process before being used.

Roku - the family - is a portal to internet streaming services such a s Netflix, Amazon, Warner, Pandora. If you do not have an internet ready TV, then these products should interest you. You are still required to have an account ($) for most services. I liked the features vs price for this Roku product. I cannot see why I would need headphones on the higher grade models. I have given two of these as gifts. Both were well received. Get an HDMI cable too.

It is great if you have and older television the only thing I have trouble with is typing in the search bar it is a little slow to bring up the letters but other than that it has so many apps, more than Apple TV which surprised me so I just bought a roku 4 for a another television and will be hooking it up today. I am sure the newer roku will be much quicker and I think roku 4 can be used with PlayStation Vue which saves a ton of money on cable. I definitely recommend the roku 1 if your television does not have an HDMI port

the size of this device is great for when you go out of town to take with you, therefore you will always have your channels ready to watch with no hassel

Standard Roku features. Easy to use and access channels. Good with older tvs without HDMI port.

The Roku player is easy to hook up and simple to navigate. No regrets for selecting this item.

I found this Roku to be slightly faster than the Roku stick which is a big plus. I originally bought this for my sons' room as he has an older TV that I haven't replaced yet. I like its functionality limited to several streaming channels as I can disable them or limit them as needed. However be careful, if you have more than one account on Netflix, this older Roku can only see the first user on the account so this can mess with your personalized list in Netflix if the first user is not the one you wanted this Roku to use.

The Roku 1 I got just after Christmas as I got a new TV and don't get cable or satelite. I got my Roku, signed up for Amazon Prime and have been in front of the TV since! It comes with a bunch of chanels, so you really don't have to subscribe to other services, but I enjoy British television to the point that I had to have just a bit more. There are lots of free movie channels and if you're into independant films you'll be in Heaven. I would for sure recomend the Roku, streaming is uninterrupted and the quality is wonderful. I highly reccomend this product!

I primarily got the Roku so I could watch my K-dramas on the big screen instead of sitting at my computer or using my iPad or iPhone. It's much more relaxing. Since Korean Drama has subtitles, I just found it annoying that almost every 15 min or so, Roku would stop and start "loading" from 0% to 100% before it would continue. I'm getting used to it and find other things to do while waiting for it to load. Other than that, I like to Roku very much.

We purchased these so that we could kick cable to the curb as the price of cable continued to increase. These are great for allowing us to access netflix, etc. They are easy to set up. The cord is very short so when lying in bed sometimes it is hard to change channels unless you raise your arm up and point down to the box because you cannot have it set up very high off the ground once plugged in. I do think the cost is kind of steep - it should be 15 to 20 dollars cheaper in my opinion as there is not much to this product and no real features to speak up.

Even someone as tech illiterate as me was able to set up and use the Roku. I enjoyed movies and television shows on my bedroom TV.

I have bought two of these for my mom. Not because it stopped working, but because she wanted another for her bedroom. Love it! Super easy to use.

I wanted something easy to hook up and a good connection. It met all expectations and some.

This is an awesome little gadget. I was recommended Roku from a friend who didn't have cable and didn't want it because of all the features. The best way to use this is to cast YouTube videos to your tv through Roku - especially if you don't have cable. However, if you do have cable you can sign in with your provider and access a ton of your favorite channels and shows you missed. Totally worth it. If you want just the basic version go with Roku 1 - if you want more bonus features the other two are great!

FAst setup and out of the box connectivity made it a breeze to get going. Searching is a little lubmsy

the roku box is a great way to watch video content. it can be a viable option to any pay service. the selection of video channels is excellent. the only problem is that with Comcast cable, it can be a bit of a chore to set up. however, the customer service with roku was top notch, very helpful and attentive. I would recommend this to anyone. while some of the content is free, there are several pay channels available. and a very good selection of music/radio channels also. one drawback is that this unit does not support youtube as of this date.

Product was great when first purchased for the use of streaming Netflix. It also contains other streaming channels that can be viewed as well.

Compared to 'chrome' and others this is a winner, small compact and easy to set up and use. Great price and a knowledgeable sales associate.

This product is an awesome addition to our household. It's really easy to use and everyone in the house loves it and all that is available.

I love it. I get to watch both my Hulu Plus and Netflix. I also love listening to my Pandora. I am about to purchase another one as a gift.
