Roku 1 delivers big entertainment

Get one and introduce it to your home wireless network, then sit back and enjoy all the programming options you never knew you had. Loads of free or very inexpensive programming at your fingertipd, as well as premium services like netflix and hulu. Roku is a great alternative to hooking up yet another cable or FiOS box on the extra TV, and no monthly rental fees.

Great for medium amount of streaming

This helped them do that with ease in the living room, since this is their only smart device. My main issue with all of these players and smart tvs is the lack of a browser capable of streaming content. Think those smart tvs can use the browser for streaming? Think again... As an avid streamer I would never use this product as it does not meet my strict requirements

More (and better) "Apps" than my Samsung Smart TV
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This unit replaced a refurbished D-Link MovieNite unit that was defective (purchased from a store other than Best Buy and subsequently returned for a refund). For $15 difference, the Roku has many, many more "apps" available than the D-Link's four (of which only 3 worked). What's more is that the Roku has more and much better "apps" than my Samsung Smart TV. I'm almost thinking of buying an additional Roku for that television, too!
