I received it as a gift. Actually I like it and it does have advantages of seeing movies not offered on regular TV channels. My only wish is some one would figure out a way to add Dirt track racing. Roku is a good addition to home entertainment.

As a new user to streaming tv, this has been one of the best investments I have made to eliminate paying for stations I don't want and to getting everything that I do. The Roku 1 was the perfect first step to freedom from cable or satellite tv.

Good features but only really using this for Pandora. The only complaint that I have is that I understood that the shortcut buttons would be programmable but this is not the case. Not a big deal, I have to click 2 buttons instead of just one.

I bought this to be able to access more content from my secondary TV that is not connected to cable. I like all the available channels, but would like it better if YouTube was an option.

This product is great for movie lovers and even those without cable...my family and i love this product..easy set up..easy to control..the funny part is that our kids taught us how to work it..i totally recommend this product to everyone...

For the money the Roku is very robust but lacking in certain areas. Had to buy a different brand unit in order for our family to be able to use their own profiles for netflix instead of everyone using the same profile like the Roku has to.

I bought this to watch mainly dramafever. It is a slower than an apple tv but it is also cheaper. Also, apple tv does not have a dramafever app so this is really my only option.

I bought this because time warner was charging me $10 a box each month. This has the time warner app so I no longer need a cable box, plus it has Netflix Hulu and other apps I use to watch different programs.

I am trying to save money but I enjoy watching television. I like the Roku because I can watch all the latest show without having to pay for cable and I don't have to deal with commercials. I have not had cable in over 3 years.

Had my last panasonic for 10 years and the new one is much better. Key placement is bigger and better and the mute is no longer right above the off button so you you dont exit by mistake when pushing mute.

Have an older tv and had to get this one due to connections. Adequate for what I use older one for. Have 2 Roku 3's and the new Roku 2 and I love them in conjunction with Time Warner 300 mbps internet speed.

It’s disappointing to me that I have to return this item. The technical support I received from the Roku techs was phenomenal. They called me several times all the way from the Philippines, giving me as much technical support as needed to get my Roku to work for me. Unfortunately, after many hours of frustration, I finally gave up. There were two problems: (1) the Roku was unable to detect my wireless router’s signal from another room even though my Blu-Ray player could, and (2) even if it could, I would not be able to watch Blu-Ray movies because of HDCP protection. When you convert from HDMI to component, the resulting analog signal is copy-protected by HDCP (my HDTV is an older model not equipped with HDMI). So, in order to use the Roku on a legacy TV, you would need to buy a converter to convert the HDMI to component (~$40), a range extender to strengthen the router’s signal if it’s too far away for a strong signal (~$50), and then you still wouldn’t be able to get past the copy protection of HDCP to enable watching Blu-Ray movies. You would, however, be able to watch Netflix TV series (like Breaking Bad, etc.) since TV shows are not affected by the HDCP protection.

I didn't think I could stream to my TV, but a staff member let me know about this device. Now I'm making better use of my Amazon Prime membership and can access my Netflix subscription w/o snail mail.

I have been looking at a lot of media streamers but this is the best one on the market they have the one the two and three I have the one and the three they are very good products I will recommend it for anyone to get them

I have a TV in my office but no cable or satellite. I wanted to watch movies on the big TV rather than my Kindle or Ipad. The Roku allows me to stream my movies from Netflix and Amazon Prime lus many other free channels.

Love my Roku. Now I can watch all the movies, music and TV series that I love without buying a smart TV at this time. Thanks for the small things in live.

the applications on this one run seamlessly. had issues with youtube on dvd player but now with this piece it all works well and I was able to buy a splitter and send the signal to another tv outside

The Roku opens up a whole world of channels, media, You Tube, adds so much to what you can watch on your TV, most is free. This device is easy to hook up to your TV connect with your computer and WiFi. Enjoy Roku!!

For the price I can't complain about much. It has all the Aps I need, many more than Apple TV (I have both). I just wish the interface was a little better. I have the Roku1, perhaps the new models have a better remote.

Purchased as an XMas gift for my parents. This and a Netflix subscription. They use it more than I use mine....couldn't be happier. Ahhh...the gift of entertainment.
