An "oldie" but a goodie. Although there are new models of the Roku, if you're looking for the basics and a way to turn an older model of TV (no HDMI hook up) into a smart TV, then this is for you! Reliable and does what I need. Thanks!

I didn't know what to expect at first. I only had word of mouth to go on. When it arrived and I set it up on my TV I was truly amazed. Set up was so easy. There were so many channels to select from I was overwhelmed. I love old time movies and to my surprise there was a channel just for me. I had gotten the Chromecast for Christmas, but this box left the Chromecast in the dust.

I am in love with my Roku! I don't need cable. I use it everyday. It has everything I watch on it and some. I bought it primarily for the DramaFever app and I don't regret it. So much cheaper than paying for cable. So happy I got it.

In this day of everything HDMI, I needed a unit with RCA's. This unit solved my issue with an older out of date blueray/dvd all in one player that phillips stop supporting and so did everyone else!. Works great, easy setup Thanks

This is an early model. It works best with old-fashioned non-digital televisions, for which there is no other option. It does pretty much what the other models do - deliver programming through your wi-fi connection, but through an analog connection (cables included). It's a bit slower to set up and use, compared to the more modern models, and if you have a digital tv, the Roku 2, etc., are better, if pricier, choices, but for an analog tv, it's this or cable, satellite, or a converter box with an antenna.

Had a BLU-RAY media streaming player previously, it skipped too bad so we upgraded to the Roku, best decision ever. Love it. Works great, lots of options and easy to use.

This was a gift for my boyfriend but I set it up which was very easy. The variety of shows, movies and additional channels were excellent. The Roku 1 is for a tv that has no hdmi connection. Now I want the Roku 3 for my tv.

This was purchased as a father's day gift, my dad loves it! It was easy to set up and it's easy for him to use. I've had no complaints from him about his roku, he loves it!

I had a Roku LT for several years and the remote quit responding so I knew I needed to replace it since I used it all the time and decided on the Roku 1 because I need the old AV cable connection not HDMI and this was the only option. I actually like this one better than the LT because it is faster at responding and some apps that I could not get to work on the LT work on this one. Plus with this one I can use my iPhone as a remote so if this one quits working years down the road I will not have to replace my unit.

We wanted a Roku to use with an old TV, but the newest model only has an HDMI output. The processor speed is slower than we'd like, but the menu's are easy to navigate, and it provides a good picture resolution for our setup.

It makes watching Netflix or Amazon sooooo easy!! Previously we used our Wii and while it was all we had, it worked fine. However, the Roku makes it so much smoother!!

I was told originally that there was no Roku available for those of us with dinosaur TV's (tube) and when I found out there WAS, I was so excited and it WORKS GREAT!!!

Love my ROKU 1, the 3rd one I have. I have this one in my office and love it. Great selection of channels and very easy set up. I have a Fire Stick and like ROKU better.

I do not watch regular TV. My reason for this purchase was to access JW Broadcasting. This website has bible based talks, programs, feature films, animated programs, music, and music videos. It has provided me with vital spiritual food to help me continue to advance and grow in my Christian personality. The depth of knowledge, concern, and love for people is truly shown by those who make these programs available. I would highly recommend people to use the roku device and tune in to JW Broadcasting

Fast set-up and very easy to use, this handy little device allows me access to content that was no longer supported by an older Blu-Ray player I have so it was a really nice and inexpensive way to do what I wanted to.

I purchased this for my brother as a late Christmas gift so he doesn't have to use his WiiU for Netflix. Although the Netflix UI could be improved, and no USB stick compatibility, this works as solid as my Roku 3.

Media uploads fast, great quality for the price. Only thing I would change is to add an on/off button on the remote ( the previous one I owned had an on/off button)

Can't beat the Roku 1 for the price. In addition to this unit, I have 2 others (different models including a 1st generation that's still going strong) and they all work flawlessly. Totally satisfied with the Roku brand!

Purchased product after talking to a friend at work. Setup was easy and since we had a netflix account we have been watching movies and series ever since. love it.

I have a TV that the HDMI cable doesnt work on it so this is a great alternative to the Roku 3 which only operates on HDMI.
