I purchased this item because it said it had an app for HBO Go but when I loaded it on my tv it only had the app for HBO now and I only have a subscription to HBO go so I had to return it. No truth in advertising on the box.

Bought this to stream movies with Flixster since it was advertised on box as being able to do so. I couldn't figure it out, and no one in store or over phone was familiar with product so I returned it.

This model is as basic as it comes. I'm taking it back. Very hard to navigate your way around not user friendly. Don't buy if you have more than one users on Netflix or any other service account. You can't sign out or switch users. You have to delete the app and then re install it. Took me forever to find a movie and doesn't display my recently watched or favorites. If you want basic with more features at a comparable price go with the stick

I hated the remote. It had a horrible delay. I returned it and purchased a cromecast. The apps may have worked fine but the remote drove me crazy. It took way to long to do a search

I ultimately decided to return this item and just buy a new smart tv. I would recommend this if your TV still has a bright picture but not if it has begun to dim.

I did not know, prior to purchase, that all the channels would cost. I believe the description of the item was misleading in that it implied that with this device I could actually watch many, many channels (hundreds). It failed to say "as long as you pay for each channel". Had I known this I would have left it is the store because I think it defeats the purpose if you subscribe to cable or fios or some of the other movie and/or cable companies.

I like Roku but was unhappy that it only lasted 4 years. I thought it would have lasted longer.

No Pandora, YouTube or internet browser, but private subscriptions are ok

With limited access to cable, the Roku is a great investment. I bought the Roku 1 because it works pretty much with every TV, but I wish I would have gotten the 2nd or 3rd one instead. It's great for netflix or hulu, but you need to have cable to access the other channels. It's very easy to use and doesn't take much space. Overall I am pretty happy with it.

I tried to use the Roku on three different TVs and it would not connect to any of them. The only way to connect is to hardware it with a twenty foot Ethernet cable! It has a great signal from the modem but refuses to wirelessly connect.

I am not happy with this product and would not recommend this to anyone. I only did bot return because i was out of town and lost time to bring it back so i am keeping it but not using it. Very unhappy with product

It was not what I expected from the other reviews I read. It took awhile to setup on my television and once installed it kept buffering. I'll stick with cable

Never even got this thing to work i conntacted suport and after an hour was told that my router wasnt sending a wierless signal heres the kicker i was useing a compuer connected to my wifi

stalls, loses signal, freezes and is totally worthless as far as I am concerned. wish I could return it.

This little monster is great.easy to set up just dial up Roku on the comptor before you plug it in. easy to get started even thogh they need a charge card. after that it on and you a running. like this much better then the netgear which just died.excellent picture quality. can pick what you want to watch.

I chose this instead of using my xbox360 for streaming. Using the xbox for netflix is like using a tank to go duck hunting, it'll work but your overdoing it. So far it's been great, it found my wireless easily & after set up it's been great. I didn't need the extra features so I chose the Roku1 and it's all I need. For those wanting to plug headphones into your remote choose Roku2 & if you want to play games grab Roku3. All I wanted was easy access to my netflix, Hulu, HboGo & Amazon Prime. Me and my wife just love this little product, I think you will too.

I bought this product because I was new to Roku but its really slow. I returned it a couple days later and got the next model up

Told the salesperson what I needed and he recommended the Roku. It did indeed serve my need and I am very satisfied.

We could not use our netflix account fully with roku 1, so returned it and got the 3.

The Roku 1 is a wireless unit. I am hard wired it did not work for me.
