Great product for our Unsmart TV
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We purchased this for our older TV in hopes that we could watch some of the channels we have and share Amazon Prime. Well this works great with no problems and clear picture. The only problem is when you have it plugged in and you just try to watch your regular channels it has a tendency to mess it up. So just unplug it and enjoy.

Flexible and Fast
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Onscreen interface lacks the polish of Apple TV, but makes up for it with a super fast processor and hundreds of channels. Very good streaming box for the price.

LOVE MY STREAMING BOX
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great product. Had a RCA streaming box before and had several issues with it like 1080 was poor, very few apps. Roku much easier to set up especially WIFI and abundance of apps, both free and paid. Family now use Roku more than cable. Faster loading HD too, Love it.

Great 1st step to cutting cable
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great product. Lots of apps available. Can use the roku app on your phone as the remote. Could eliminate a receiver/ cable box in a bedroom with the ability to log into your cable/satellite account on the roku under tv network apps to access on demand

Great streaming media player
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Our 4 year old version (Roku 2 HD) was slow, started hanging up and required rebooting about once a week so we decided to upgrade our box. Very happy we did. Much much faster connection and loading of apps and data. Very happy we upgraded.

So So Picture Quality
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My bluray player's internet capabilities died a few days ago. Had it for four years, and the streaming quality on Netflix was outstanding. I thought about buying another bluray player, but read lots of reviews about Roku. So I took a chance on this one. The good: it does have a lot of apps (but FYI, many of them are paid). It is also lightning fast. Rewinding, fast forwarding, and loading video are all super quick. And it has a great movie title search feature. For example, if you search "Titanic" for example, it will list each and every app through which "Titanic" is available, and also the price for rental (if any). Unfortunately, the picture quality is decent, but nowhere near as good as my old bluray player's streaming. Netflix and Hulu Plus both look somewhat fuzzy at times, with visual artifacts, and they just don't have that outstanding picture quality I'm used to. I think I'm going to return this and get another streaming blu ray player. The bluray player doesn't have that many apps, but the outstanding picture quality would sure make up for it.

Makes life easy!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. All of our TVs are SmartTVs but the interface on them is awful! So we bough Roku 2's for all the TVs. The Roku is really easy to use and rarely has any problems.

Netflix with glitches
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm using roku 2 during my stay in US. I have configured it to work with my hotel internet (wasn't that straight forward). For some reason I am experiencing glitches while watching Netflix (half the screen gets white for a fraction of a second). I am keeping it for now but somehow disappointed with roku since the reviews were setting me a high expectation.

So many choices!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Roku 2 I purchased was a little hard to get started, but once I figured out what to do, and how to do it, OMG!! There is so much that it offers, I don't think I even need cable anymore!! It's also great if you miss an episode of a series, you can easily watch it at your convenience.

Great
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this for my mother since her options for T V channels on her DISH network package are horrible. So far she loves it. Remember to by an HDMI cord for it though. It makes installing it a lot easier.

Awesome for Netflix
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We had an Amazon Fire stick prior to the purchase of the Roku and let me tell you, the Roku is 1,000 times better. It doesn't freeze or disconnect in the middle of watching things. I highly suggest!

Great and easy to use for streaming

Good option to additional cable costs
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Like the 1-time cost for the Roku to get additional channels without paying for additional, monthly cable cost. At times, picture resolution gets worse, but most of time, all wirks well.

ROKU 2 Rocks!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my first ROKU 2 purchase, but I do own three ROKU Streaming Sticks that are on my televisions. What I like about this the most is that the ROKU 2 loads up quickly and it has a few more features (ethernet port, usb port) than the streaming stick alone. The channel offerings seem to be improving and expanding throughout the year, but I like the fact that I can use ROKU as my "cable box" with Time Warner Cable and that alone has cut my cable bill! Overall I am extremely pleased with this purchase.

Awesome way to watch shows!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently got sick of paying over $100 a month to never have anything to watch on TV so I canceled my service and purchased this. It works great and there really is a good variety of content. it costs way less to stream even popular shows from HBO etc than to have satellite or cable. Highly recommend Roku to anyone looking to save money and watch what they want when they want.

Great Product Once you get it Up and running
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Doesn't come with any instructions to speak of other than a few illustrations on the box. Somehow my unit got linked to a Canadian location and as a result I couldn't get many of the applications (eg - Amazon Video). Store wasn't much help - told me to go to the Google Play Store and I'd be able to download them. Even though on the box the Google Play Store icon is shown, it's really "Google Play TV and Video", not the same as Play Store. Finally called Roku Cust service and they immediately recognized the problem and changed my unit's location. Once I got that fixed it works fine.
