Love Roku... It keeps everything you need in one spot for streaming including pay per view movies.

I was looking for a media player to primarily play videos from my DLink DNS-343 NAS. One of the free apps plays them just fine if they are formatted right. Several of the videos don't play or don't have audio because of how they were encoded years ago (AVIs and some MKVs), but all recent encoded MP4 videos play fine. Roku's iPhone app is handy, but sometimes is buggy and "disconnects". An iPad version would be nice. I like the fully enclosed menu on the Roku compared to the Google Chrome stick which requires use of a laptop.

We bought this device for my mother and she absolutely loves it!! It's menu is well laid out and is in fact very easy to navigate and use!

I have the earlier version of Roku 2 and it didn't have the usb port like the current Roku 2 has. This usb port now allows me to use a external hard drive to watch old family movies, a big plus.

I refused to pay the increased fee for my satellite dish so I cut the cord with this Roku. Yes, it cost me almost a month's satellite charge, but now it's mine and I don't pay anymore to watch TV. Of course, there are lots of channels that still want to charge you a fee for signing up with them, but I won't fall for the trap. I do pay for Netflix and have tried Amazon, but I didn't stay with Amazon. I only want one pay channel so I stayed with Netflix for now. The Roku was easy to install (I'm a 70-year-old grandma and I installed it myself). It finds and categorizes all the channels out there for easy access to anything you would ever want to watch on TV. When Netflix doesn't want to cooperate signing on, I just use the Roku and I don't have issues with Netflix. I'm sure I don't know all that the Roku has to offer yet, but so far I am happy with it. As usual, Best Buy had the best price, purchase was easy, and delivery fast.

Easy to use & set up. My husband just wanted to be able to watch Netflix. We plan to try some of the other available channels as well.

We absolutely love this device. It's very easy to install. Works great, picture is beautiful.

Got this for sony tv that had no apps. Crystal clear 1080P. More apps then you will ever use. Plug in HDMI cable and youn are good to go

I love my Roku. It's great since I didn't want to buy a smart tv. If I get another tv I will definitely make sure to get a Roku with it.

Chose this option over the Roku 3 because we are not gamers. Really pleased with the purchase. Have struggled to cast to the device however I have a Roku stick for another room and can cast to it. Still pleased with the device. Ditched satellite service and between free apps through Roku and paid Netflix and Sling I do not miss my satellite service!

Really satisfied with the Roku box. Bought it primarily to get access to Sling TV on an HDTV that's not a smart TV. Reception is fantastic, no latency issues. The other channels that are available are also crisp & clear. Just wish there were a few more channels available that you don't need to have a cable subscription for to access. Having the cable cut was the primary reason for getting Roku. I think w/time Roku may acquire some more mainstream channels and that will position them to really give cable the competition that's needed.

The Roku 2 is best for both function and value. The Roku 2 performs fast and is easy to use. It allowed us to discontinue cable TV.

Bought the Roku for my daughter in college who had issues trying to stream programs using something different. This got the job done.

The Roku has everything you need. Great alternative to spending to $200 a month on cable!

I got the Roku because it was easy to set up and very simple to use. I tend to get easily frustrated by tech stuff but this is great!

I thoroughly enjoy my Roku 2. Streams great with no hiccups to speak of, I have access to many apps and players, is small/compact.

I wanted television in a guest bedroom without having to lease another cable box. Setup took less than 10 minutes.....problem solved!

Awesome product you don't even have to pay so much money on buying a smart tv when you can pay a low price for this product & get so much more out of it. This makes your tv a smart tv

My cable provider is TimeWarner they where charging me nearly $40 under my buddle plan for the 2nd DVR Box in our house. The ROKO BOX we purchase for less then $60 has free TimeWarner App it allows me to get all of the TW channels just like their box (minus) can't record for free. So for 2nd, 3rd, 4th TV in the house or travel with internet connection the ROKO is prefect it paid for it self in 2 months for us.

This thing was so easy to connect and setup. It's also super fast. You zip around menus, searches whatever, the speed is incredible.
