I opted to purchase the Roku 2. The installation was very easy and accessing my Amazon membership was a breeze. I will give Hulu a try at some point. The free movie channels did not offer much of interest to me. Overall a very nice addition.

Purchased this as I gift for a technically challenged family member. I had planned on installing it for her but ended up having to ship it instead. She actually installed it herself and loves it! Gives all her late model flat screen TV all the features of a fully functional "smart TV" and more!

This would've been wonderful for me except for issues with my signal- my service provider's issue, not Roku, so I returned it and went back to my old 2013 era Roku. I WILL repurchase this furthur down the line when I have the signal conflicts resolved. I do recommend it, I was very pleased with the interface and what would've been the speed if I could've gotten a clear uninterfered with signal, but the two local providers have saturated my immediate area and it wreaks havoc.

I purchased this to replace my Roku stick. I was expecting superior performance, but the performance is about equal to the Roku stick. It only loads marginally faster and is no more stable. It buffers at about the same rate and comes with an IR Remote instead of much more convenient Bluetooth remote that comes with the stick. Overall it works fine but there is very little to recommend it over the less expensive Roku stick that includes the better Bluetooth remote control.

I think this device works as advertised and is a worthwhile investment.
