I realy enjoy the Roku and Netflix. My only complaint is that more often that I care to have to deal with it the R-2 starts up with no audio. It doesn't happen every time, and there is not a particular pattern. It requires a reboot and on one occasion it required starting all over from the beginning with start up info, even though it had worked the day before?

Apparently each of the streaming players operate the same, but we settled on Roku because of the price and were told it was pretty easy to use. And yep, it was. We spent a little time starting up Netflix, Hulu, and CBS All-Access accounts (spring for the extra $2/month to skip commercials). I'm not certain we will keep Netflix AND Hulu because they seem to have a lot of overlap, but Roku allows you to log into your accounts once. After that, it knows you have access and will let you swap between services with the press of one button. Super easy. Haven't had any issues yet. So far our monthly cost (internet, Netflix, Hulu, and CBS) is about $100/month less than our old internet/cable bill. And NO commercials unless we watch local TV on our HD antenna.

This has been great so far. I'm never going back to cable TV.

Excellent item purchased to replace the ROKU 3 which is packed away somewhere but can not seem to be found, did not buy the ROKU 3 as this works just as well though it doesn't do "speech" from the remote which was never used anyway. Highly recommend this product to anyone

It has its good and bad vs the Apple TV, but overall it's a great buy. I wasn't able to get Drama Fever on my Apple TV, so I switch to the Roku. The only problem I have with the Roku is there isn't a turn off switch or a way to turn it off other than unplugging it. It also freezes from time to time. My only wish would be more free channels with decent content.

Bought this as a gift for my teen daughter who watches CBS All Access for Big Brother feeds. Set up was very easy, works exactly as advertised. I did not want to pay more for the few extra bells & whistles that the Roku 3 & 4 offer, maybe when I buy my own when the daughter moves out.

My cable company just went to all digital with adapters they provide. I compared it to my results with ROKU2. I like the reception of the ROKU2 better than the direct cable. ROKU2 also provides the benefit of using my Netflix account as well. It is in a spare bedroom, and will be appreciated by any guests that might stop by for a night or two.

Kissed my cable box goodbye! Now I get all my Time Warner channels through Roku. This model works great with TWC as long as you have their modem. The free and paid channel variety is vast. Now my HD TV is a lot smarter!!

Easy set up. No difficulty streaming even in basement with router upstairs and surrounded by cabinet.
