Bought it for my old parents and they figured it out. If you can't you should be watching tv.

easy to set up, plenty of free programs and movies.

This thing is way faster than the previous version.

I purchased this because I did not want to pay a monthly fee for another cable box for a tv we were setting up for the kids gaming use. After some research this unit was the best price/value for our needs. Installation and setup were quick and easy and the amount of content beat all the competition by a wide margin.

I was looking for something that I could watch Netflix on after my son moved out since we watched Netflix on his X box , liked the easy set up was watching Netflix with in minutes of plugging it in

Better picture quality threw Roku than my smart TV

Also have the Roku 3 and prefer the 2. The OK button is in the center of the arrows and simply feels better. Don't miss the voice feature at all. Used in order to get rid of sky high satellite bills and are able to get just about everything we were previously watching through various apps and channels. Highly recommend!

The Roku-2 was very easy to install and set up. We use it to view Netflix and Amazon Prim.

Got this for watching Amazon Prime. Works awesome and is simple to use. Had a TV that already had Netflix on it, but now we watch Netflix using this as well. Much quicker and crisper than TV.

For those who would like to upgrade their streaming experience, and don't have lots of iProducts, or the latest TV, the Roku is for you! It provides lots of channel selection and a store to download more. Many many more. Check one out today!

Finally cut the cable price tag, but wanted to a better device for Netflix (for which we were also already paying) and other streaming services to fill the void. This device had a one-time cost about equal to the TV part of my cable bill. So far, so good. Now I just have to build an antenna for local stuff.

When looking to pick up a streaming media hub that would accompany my 2016 Samsung Smart 4K UHD TV, I wanted to find an option that had the most flexibility as well as the services not available on Samsung's in-house SmartHub. While normally an Apple fan, I elected to forego the Apple TV as the price point wasn't worth the inflexibility of the services provided, especially when compared to the cheaper options including those from Amazon and Google as well as Roku. This device offered the best "bang for the buck" with the widest selection of apps/compatible services, and the setup was easy and straightforward. My only slight complaint with the unit is that there is no way to shut it off. I'm not so much worried about the power consumption as I am having the unit on 24/7 might wear it out. I wish, like most set-top boxes, it afforded the user the ability to turn it on and off.

So far so good. Have used Roku while I am living temporary with my in laws while we wait for our house to be ready. Have used a few times. Streams a bunch of channels but wish it had more current network shows. Some channels on the roku have only 1 or 2 programs that most people wont want to watch. I got it over the apple tv. Now I am not sure if that was the better choice. My opinion, is do your research.

This is the second Roku I've purchased. After several years of trouble free service from my previous Roku, I did make a brief mistake and purchased a Sony Blu Ray with streaming but after it quickly stopped working properly, I quickly exchanged it for the Roku. No more problems. Great quality and price.
