I recently had one of the WD Live Tv's break on me and wasn't sure what device I was going to switch too next. After doing some research I felt that the roku was going to be the best device for me to switch to, to watch the apps that I used on a daily basis. It's been nothing but a solid performing and extremely quick with the menu's. I like the ability to not have to worry about the remote as well and to just use my phone as a controller instead so that I don't need to go looking for a lost remote.

I live in a dorm room so it's nice and small and doesn't take up too much space. It also has Netflix and Hulu and many other apps. It's nice if you don't have tv and want stuff to watch

I don't have anything to compare this to but we are happy with it so far. We watch Hulu along side the Roku device. I might have given it 5 stars except for the channel sometimes stops/ begins to "buffer" while watching HULU and I'm not sure if it's the HULU that causes that or the ROKU device.

The roku works as expected. The box is easy to hook up and the sales person reminded me and helped me get a hdmi cable. Once hooked up it went smooth and easily connected to the wifi.

Fastest streaming box I've had yet (own Apple TV, Chromecast, Fire TV, Fire TV stick, Roku stick, Roku TV) so that's saying something. I like how they added Sling TV as one of the pre-programmed buttons. Fire TV is good, too.

This device is very economical. I was so happy to get rid of cable, and have no regrets. I also have Sling TV, and my monthly savings now is $50 after the $20 monthly payment for Sling TV. This device is the way to go.

Have a Roku 3 as an accessory to a 64" plasma and a Roku 2 in each of the grandkids rooms. All the kids care about is Netflix and I did not even bother to hook them up to cable. They would probably give Roku six stars.

The roku is a simple and easy way to stream a lot of different services at a very affordable price. Easy to use and connect.

This is a great player. I use it mainly for time warner cable viewing with the app. All apps work great. Responds perfectly to my harmony remote. For a 1080p TV, go with the Roku 3.For 4K TVs, give the Roku 4 a shot.

It's a fantastic device for Netflix and time Warner cable. Pay for Internet only with the Roku box. It's a nice way to save money

I purchased this to replace a Roku 2 XD that was starting to freeze intermittently. The new Roku 2 has a faster processor and is WAY faster, especially loading large MKV files through Plex which is my primary usage.

This device is great! Tons of channels/content & super easy to use. Superb choice if you don't need voice commands & 4K.

I had tried a competitor's player and had problems, so I returned to Roku and glad I did. Easy to set up. Works perfectly.

I like the Roku. I was sceptical at first. But I realized I could link my home network to it through plex and watch all of my movies from home server. It has alot of apps and easy user interface. Nice remote too.

Great streaming app with tons of apps. USB port comes in handy when streaming media from a flash drive. Comes in handy when traveling and interface is super easy to navigate.

I've used Chromecast, Amazon Fire Stick, and the Roku 2. So far the Roku 2 is my favorite. It's quick and responsive and has lots of channel options. I can even control it from my phone. For a cord cutter its a must.

I've had this device for about a month and a half now and have loved using it immensely. It's interface is responsive and quick, installation was a breeze, and, with the Roku app for my phone searching through Netflix/Hulu/HBO has never been easier. I'm sure the Roku 3/4 have features that may outshine this one, but if you're like me and don't care about a headphone jack or voice search, then this is the product for you. It's a straightforward and efficient streaming device.

We love the Roku. Super easy to set up. You can use the remote that it comes with or any cell phone. So many channels to choose from, including Netflux and HBO go.Streaming you tube is another great feature !
