The Roku player is a great way for us to stream Netflix, Amazon Prime and HBO Go. There is a little spooling at the beginning, but once the video loads there is no interruption in viewing. I looked at the Apple TV, but I found it too expensive for what it offered compared to the Roku 2. When we get a UHD TV in the future, I will upgrade to the UHD streaming capable viewer.

I bought this roku for my camp. I have a satellite dish during bad weather I don't get signal. Now I just put on the roku and can watch what ever I want,

This is my second Roku as we have one in the home where we live full time. I plan to carry this one with us when we travel to use in hotels and rentals.

Roku comes with the slingtv.com app by default and works well on all other platforms as well but is nice to get slingtv.com working without any hassle.

Easy set up. Many of the free channels available on Roku are full of movies that did not interest me. The misleading free channels give you the channel like HBO then you need a subscription to actually watch. There is an array of channels that I have not even been able to tap into that seem to have pretty good content for learning, documentary, info and more including music channels. You will love this product if you don't want other networks and don't really watch tv much but want some good options for watching free media and there is good and bad available so you have to research what you are choosing.

We are techno lame and this was so easy to set up with instructions from the salesman at Best Buy! We are using it for Net Flix. Great Price on Sale!

Great concept. I would have preferred a more complete list of channels that could be downloaded. HBO & Showtime on the Go are great but limited on networks feeds.

My second one. These are fantastic and have so many more channels and features than the Apple TV and Chromecast. Buy one, you won't be disappointed!

If you are looking to 'cut the cord' or reduce your cable bill, this is the best option. Roku offer more viewing options than any other box out there.

I am so behind the times. I should have purchased a Roku years ago. Love it and loved the way I ordered store pick up and they had it ready to go.

This newest revision of the Roku2 is much better and faster than the original one, I have them both and this one is much faster, specially when loading heavy channels such as the YouTube one, it definitely has a faster processor and more memory, of course not as fast as the Roku3, but this plays very nicely and you would rarely encounter lag, I would recommend.

We got rid of dish due to the high cost and increase in price. The Roku works great as my grandson was watching a lot of Netflix anyway. Love it.

This is my second Roku and I love it. It streams Netflix and Acorn TV very fast, the old one was giving me problems when streaming from Acorn TV

Best thing ever! Purchased longer charging cord for iPhone. Was tired of being stuck to the wall while charging iPhone and iPad. Recommended to all!!

My goal in purchasing a streaming tool was to eventually get away from cable/ bundles. The Roku had the best reviews and I am not disappointed .

This really defeats the need for cable now since sling tv is included....great product easy set up and saves a whole lot of money over cable tv!!!!
