I initially bought this to help me cut out services. I like the roku itself, but occasionally it does freeze and requires rebooting. I loved it until I bought the amazon box on amazon day, now I would prefer that. The interface is much more streamline and less clunky. it's much faster, the remote is better, and the best part is the voice search.

My mother recently disconnected her cable television in order to lower her monthly expenses so I thought the Roku would be a great gift for her. I started w/ the Roku 2 and she LOVES it so I will definitely up grade to a Roku 4 for her. Before purchasing a streaming media player I did A LOT of research. There are tons of articles out comparing the differences between all the streaming media players, nearly 95% of the articles agreed that the Roku is head and shoulders above the rest. They estimated that the Roku is faster, has more option and definitely has more channels /Apps available to choose from.

There are two differences between Roku 2 and Roku 3: The Roku 2 does not have a headphone jack (Roku 3 does in the channel selector) and you pretty much have to point the remote at the set top box. The Roku 3 you don't have to be so direct. Other than that, the Roku 2 is fine. I like all the channels and it works better than my so called smart DVD players.

I bought this product but returned it after I discovered that the remote has to see the receiver to work

This Roku works much faster that my old one, and I can stream in HD. I am very happy with it.

Roku 2 is very easy to install and set up. It only took me a couple minutes and connect everything to get it running. It took longer for me to set up an Roku account. Once you log into Roku, you could find a lot of channels and download/install them to your device.

We are happy with this item and happy that we did not purchase something more expensive.

The Roku 2 was my first Roku to get as a friend has one and I liked it'. So the other Roku was out of stock and just wanted to try it out even though thinking it was out dated . I was wrong and it works great. Couldn't asked for more and very happy with my purchase!!

Works really well as long as you have a decent Wifi hookup. You do have to pay for channels, but you can pick and choose which ones you want.

This was a great alternative to cable tv. I'm so excited that I chose to purchase a Roku2

We love our Roku! We cut the cord with Direct TV, bought a Roku and will never go back.

This wasn't very difficult to set up, so I definitely recommend it for anyone who has a TV without a "smart" option already installed, or a gaming system with the same capabilities. I would have given it five stars, except the remote control is a little small and does not have backlit buttons. Aside from these minor flaws, its a nice little option!

I replaced an older Roku that got zapped by lightening. The new one is good but I miss the better quality remote from the old unit. This remote is IR and has to be pointed DIRECTLY at the device. This requires me to sit up on the couch to work. Yes I get exceed use but I don't really want that hassle to simply change thermogram or pause the show.

Love listening to Pandora. Plentiful access to movies and TV shows. Well worth the money!

This is a fantastic way to watch shows without having to pay $$$$$ for Comcast or FiOS!

Great reviews, fast and has so many apps. Streams well with all streaming services. It froze up a few times, but just rebooted and started working normally again. I would definitely recommend this product, if I were to buy it again I would look to get the Roku 3.

Worth the money, but had some issues. Support was not bad, but it took a good hour to get my issues sorted. Overall has been working well
