Easy to use and install, great quality. Missing function to stream from my laptop.

Well, I have never had a Roku 3 but there is only so much that a TV box can do. Get this and save the extra dollars off of the 3 and get an ice cream. Stronger than my smart TV wifi...will work even when the TV is acting up! Gripe: The lack of an actual on/off button (avoids having to plug and unplug when the wi-fi is acting up)

This device is a great add-on for the home theater. Recommend for the living room as it is not necessary in bedrooms or kitchen.

We satisfy with it and have it for one year no plm at all. Great roku.

I plugged the unit into the second HDMI port of my television and it just worked.

I'm enjoying my roku 2, plenty of channels to stream. Unfortunately, it needs an off switch. I like to turn my electronics off when not in use; for this roku, I have to pull the plug even though it comes with a remote. I'm not sure if I can recommend it since there are alternatives out there. Fortunately, it sucks up very little.

Its easy to set up, lots of options. Haven't used much, would like to see internet option.

great product with tons of channels that if you want to watch them you would have to pay. I will say that is better than Apple TV.

This item does not give you all the channels advertised. You can can a few local channels but you are not watching live tv. They are old episodes and you are limited in the shows and episodes you can view. Also a lot of the movie channels are really old movies but their are a few decent ones. The rest of the channels you have to pay for a subscription to get. But it is better than paying a monthly cable bill.

Excellent item for free television content, but with the storage slots you can download anything from a computer,save to disk, and watch on your Roku. Can also screen cast any android device to watch any content on your phone from your television!

To start with, I bought this product solely for the purpose of being able to see my NAS (Network Attached Storage) drive. I was having a great deal of trouble finding a product that did that. I had a bluray player that did it before, but the Roku 2 can read MKV format. The only downside I see to the Roku is that a few of the video formats that I can see with my bluray player, cannot be used on my Roku 2. It's fine for me. I also had a Kindle Fire Stick, which I removed with the addition of the Roku because it has all the same apps for my purposes. The Roku does videos from Amazon Prime and has a lot of other popular apps like various television channel apps, Crackle, Vudu, and more. The only thing I don't like about the apps is that not all television providers are included. I have Bright House and I can't use any of the ABC owned apps. I also wish there was a TNT or TBS app. I work retail and often times miss prime time on TV. Having those apps would be nice. If you need this to get apps, want it to have an Ethernet port, and need to see files on a network capable device, then this is a great purchase and a great price.

bought this to save on my cable, like it a lot and my 5 year uses it pretty easy

Good for watching TV without using cable, although you can't get local channels.
