I use this Roku 2 in a bedroom which I do not have a cable outlet in. Because I have cable service, I am able to verify this device using my cable account login through the very friendly Roku 2 interface and computer/phone/tablet. This allows me to watch live streaming tv from most of he major networks. It is also great for any paid services you have like Netflix. I couldn't be happier with this little thing.

Use in place of cable no monthly bill so I am happy with pop product. Recommend product.

I was skeptical about this option but one of my best friends swore by it. It is awesome with various streaming channels...History Chanel, Nat Geo, PBS, Hulu, Netflix, Curiosity Streaming and Acorn to name a few. Some have monthly charges but you can really customize your views. ROKU is very easy to set-up and to operate. So much so that I cut my PlayStation Vue OFF since ROKU was easier to operate.

I bought this to be able to watch Netflix on my tv that isnt a smart tv and it works very well other than an outdated user interface.

Having a ROKU has been fun and easy to use. We thoroughly enjoy using the carious channels offered and the ease in using the machine.

I was able to quickly set up the Roku and add all the streaming services I use.

1st Roku device I have purchased. I decided to go with this instead of buying a smart tv to have access to netflix, hulu, etc.. Was told there was not a requirement to set up an account with Roku but found that this was incorrect. After researching on line I found that you could however set and account without a credit card. Did not need the other bells and whistles with the more expensive versions.
