Severe Platform Crash Issues

The one that I bought is very small in order to fit a small space so the low resolution was a considered necessity. The real issue I have is that the Roku platform itself as well as the apps constantly crash. The issue is not environment related since I use other devices in the same space with no issues. The crashes are frequent enough to have become VERY annoying and are causing me to consider replacing the unit.

From the reviews, I thought I give it a chance. WRONG ANSWER!!!!! It is always losing its connection while streaming. I’m in the middle of a good show and…..oops, it goes to the home page. This is my 5th Roku TV so I’d say I know how to operate them. Too late to return. Too bad

So the same thing is wrong as when I took it in. The picture and sound are fine when it works.

Sometimes, performing a system restart on the player can resolve this. Other times, you might need to uninstall and reinstall the affected channels, check the status of your wireless connection, or contact the channel's service provider.

TROUBLSOME REMOTE CONTROL

I have tried to reprogram the remote but it does not adjust. It's very frustrating and I may have the TV back to the store.

Terrible tv

Mine started getting red & blue lines all over the screen. The initial reviews looked good but after some time the lines appear and it’s so frustrating because there’s nothing you can do about it. When I searched for the issue, many people have had this happen. The Roku support from India does not help. I will not get another one.

Only recommend for very patient buyer

Streaming programs frequently stall or crash, especially when using YouTubeTV. It is not my network since all other devices in the home work fine. Very frustrating. On other smart TVs I can pause program and return to where I left off, even after ½ hour or more. Roku TV drops the show after a few minutes and depending upon the point at which it dropped, you can't always resume or restart the program. Similarly, rewind to restart or replay a segment generally stalls then crashes. Need to turn the TV off completely and restart.

I have been unable to set it up so I can watch local TV stations, so therefore it is useless to me. I went back to the store for help and no one could tell me if I could somehow set it up to watch local TV like have on the other TV's in my home.

Bad reception at times

Audio Sucks!

I have to restart the shows every few minutes to get the audio to sync. By the time I I found out nothing would fix it, the return date had passed (15days!). Will never buy another one again.

Highly recommend against purchase.

Eventually you might have room for an app or 2, but the rest will be ads and Roku buttons that you don't want and can't remove. Buyer beware on this one, or any Roku device for that matter.

If you haven't already, be sure to check out The Roku Channel—it features over 10,000 hit movies, TV, and 24/7 news at no cost to you. There is even a Live TV Channel Guide with instant access to live feeds from over a dozen national news providers, including ABC News, NBC News NOW, Reuters, Yahoo!, and USA Today. As for local news, you may be able to find your local stations on either NewsON, STIRR, or Haystack Local and World News. And you can always install an antenna to scan for local channels in your region.
