This was my first time purchasing a ROKU streaming device I was actually looking at other brands, however after shopping around and researching reviews I found the ROKU had the best price for what I was looking for. It was very easy to setup and organize my channels, plus I enjoyed the fact that the device doesn't limit itself to just apple products very user friendly and has plenty of channel options and worked great with my television.

Quick, easy setup. If you use the headphones in the remote, I recommend getting rechargeable batteries since they need replaced often.

I got this for my sister recently. She was using this cheap LG blu ray player for her Netflix streaming and that thing was slow as beans! Setup time took about 20 minutes. After that she was up and going with Netflix, Vudu, and Hulu (there's a 2 month free trial right now). I'm very impressed with the wide selection of apps available for the Roku device. It's also a very fast device. If you're currently using the built-in tv apps or an old blu ray player, just upgrade to this. Streaming will be a more amazing experience.

I have had a Roku 2 since 2013 and am very pleased with the variety of additional channels and ease of streaming. I started having connection issues (turned out to be a bad HDMI cord), but had already decided to purchase the Roku 3 during the xmas sales. I expected the 3 to be faster, I have the 2 hooked up to my extra tv and don't see much of a difference. But I was blown away by how much the picture quality improved. The only drawback is the 3 has a voice search capable remote that seems to freeze the box up sometimes.

The new Roku 3 is a winner with added voice search feature. Roku continues to be the best with the most content available and speed.

The Roku 3 is great. The voice search feature is remarkable. Headphone jack built in is also really convenient for private viewing.

Everything works as advertised, can't say that about most of the other media players I've tried. Voice search is somewhat global and works surprisingly well. Remote is comfy to hold, but button placement could be a bit better (occasionally hit the search button by accident, which takes you to home screen, for example).

Very easy to setup. Love the voice search and excellent interface. Has all the popular apps Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Video etc

I've had no issue out of my Roku 3. It works great and fast with plenty of options of apps like Netflix, Pandora, and more!

As we noticed in our house that out Directv bill was inching ever higher and higher and being charged all types of fees for simple TV viewing, we couldn't help to think that there's something better. Well, this is it! If you don't have the Roku3...get one. You will need Wi-Fi in your home and ideally a connection speed of 3 Mbps or more to not have any buffering. The only thing left is to put our Db8e antenna in the attic and make the connection to finally cut the cord and save $100 per month

After having my cable bill steadily climb year after year, i cut the service and purchased rokus for every TV in our house and we are loving it! I really like the headphones that plug into the remote which allows me or my husband to watch tv while the other is trying to sleep. Another great feature is the voice search. If we happen to have a power outage we simply unplug the power to the box and plug it back in and it is reset. No more sitting on the phone waiting for a rep to reset the cable box. I was.so pleased with our Roku 3 that i also purchased 2 for my elderly father to cut his cable bill and he loves it as well. Save yourself ALOT of money amd invest in these, you will be glad you did.

Works great and has all the streaming services that I need. I have the Amazon Fire stick also and I like the interface of the Roku better. It may be personal preference but I just like the Roku's menu over the Fire stick. It looks nicer and seems easier to navigate. Screen mirroring with my windows 8.1 laptop works great which is the main reason I bought the Roku even though I already had the Fire stick. Fire stick is supposed to have it but I have not gotten it to work successfully.

I have an old Roku one and upgraded to this unit. It works great and since most outlets now have (on demand) apps it really allows you to watch a lot of TV. And the best part is the headphone outlet on the remote so I can watch TV when the girlfriend is sleeping or doing something else. I highly recommend it.

We heard about this from a friend so we decided to try it out. It was easy to install and we have enjoyed it very much.

Easy, but a little clunky to set up Netflix and such... Flawless operation. Nice small footprint, nice controller.

The new roku 3 is super fast and has a great remote. So much faster, I love it. Make sure it is the new 2015 edition.
