I bought this because I knew I did not need 4k (my tv is from the 1700's and is only HD). HOWEVER, the Roku 4 has 802.11ac MIMO wireless, which the Roku 3 does not. If your router supports 802.11ac MIMO wireless (which mine does) OR if your tv is 4k, get the Roku 4 (read up on all the technical mumbo-jumbo about 802.11ac MIMO wireless). Otherwise, get the Roku 3 - they both provide the same channels (and are great products).

No problems setting it up. Would have gotten the 4K model but not enough streaming services offer 4K. I love the headphone jack on the remote. Really helps while watching stuff late at night.

good streaming device. does all i need at half price of apple tv. have had a roku 3 on another tv for about a year without any problems.

I used the Roku to replace my tv service and couldn't be happier. The system is ready to use and the voice recognition works wonderfully.

Highly recommend this streamer works very well in my house if you have Internet I highly recommend this instead of cable TV much cheaper

This product is overall good but I did not know that if I wanted to watch certain shows I would have to subscribe to one of them. There is usually a cost involved. Otherwise it is great.

Very good general purpose streaming player. Portable enough to take traveling with you on business trips to hook up at the hotels. It is responsive and has an intuitive but simple remote.

Debated whether to buy Roku 3 or Tivio Roamio. Chose Roku 3 because it does not require paying A subscription. Does a very good job.

love that there is so many channel to choose from channels I never heard of and to my surprise they had great shows. Easy to install and hours of satisfying TV and your pace and leisure

My son chose this Roku for me and I can't be happier. It is easy to use and very quick to install. I will purchase others as needed.

This is an excellent product for streaming. It covers most if not all the streaming services that you could want. Very easy to set up

It was an excellent purchase, highly recomended, also you can use some other features from this roku 3 like Netflix facebook, etc.

Although we have a smart tv, the Roku allows us to access additional networks and sites. Easy to set up, even for we 'elder' folks.

The Roku works so much easier than dragging the laptop over to hook up to the Smart TV. It was easy to install and it's easy to use.

great player that beats Amazon sticks. Hardly lag and is effient. I recommend this.

Roku 3 is great with the price reduction since new models are out. If you don't have 4K no need to spend for more bells and whistles.

Our Samsung Smart Tv has the Netflix, & HuluPlus apps which are the main ones to watch. The HBO Go app is available only if you have cable/sat., which doesn't interest us, as the point for most savvy viewers is to cut the cord & be free of the cable/sat price-raising fiasco. Roku also lists the WatchESPN app, though we came to understand from many sources that doesn't give you the current NFL or college football access. We're looking at rabbit ears as what we need instead of Roku (since we have the Smart Tv, which, BTW, now offers Showtime tandem with the HuluPlus app. I'd still recommend the Roku to someone without a current Smart Tv. It's a far better way to go than cable/sat.

Totally sold on roku and it's so easy to use...gives you control over tv...not just surfing channels or browsing a guide. We love it.
