The world of TV watching changed and I missed it! No longer! Now I have a Roku 3 and can see what I am missing. (Not sure how I feel about paying for each program choice.) Anyhow, my spouse hates TV so I put the earphones in the remote and we're good to go. I wish the remote had more features and that is why I gave it a 4 instead of a 5. I'll probably buy another one for another TV.

I started out with the Roku stick and it was ok but I tended to load slow. The Roku 3 loads extremely fast with no lag, obviously depending on your internet connection. I have now replaced all of my sticks and everything works great.

I have two of these and I seem to have issues with the newest one. It freezes up and loses the signal. It will stop working and restart at random times. I have the Roku2 and I have never had a problem with it. The remote on the new 3 stops working as well. Maybe I got a lemon. The older 3 rarely gets used so I don't notice the issues. Maybe I will swap them to see if it is the same problems.

Ihad been using my BLU MRAY to receive NETFLIX and it didn't work very well .. So I went Best Buy and talked with a really good employee who help me through the demo .. When I got it home and installed it , it worked ... For me that isn't always the result.. I highly recommend Best Buy ......

I had to buy this Roku for my Samsung "Smart" tv (turns out it wasn't so smart). Before I bought the Roku, the tv would try to load a show on Netflix for like 5 minutes, then stop in the middle of the show & load some more. The Roku took care of that. I can stream everything with no wait.

We've been Roku users since it first came out. We love them. Great unit that replaced an original model Roku, bit gives a lot more channel options. Got it at a discount thanks to newer models, which made it an even better deal. Has helped out a bunch when we cut the cord over a year ago.

I have 4 of these now. I used them to replace my cable boxes to view Charter Spectrum. Just set it up and perfect viewing. Remote is really good also. If you don't want to bother anybody while in the same room with them then you can also use the headphone jack on the remote and adjust the volume.

Roku is a good system for streaming tv. It offers many tv series and movies. Some are free. Some require a subscription ($). I really like the remote control, which has a headphone jack and headphones. I can listen without bothering anyone else. I wish that the remote had backlit keys, however.

I love this Ruku, its quick streaming and i love the extra free channels i get with it. Ever since my capable network (bios) dropped the weather channel i had to settle for this basic weather channel that is no comparison to the TWC. Ruku has a great weather channel that is free. Love it!!

We were looking for options that would allow us to drop the "stupid expensive" cable with giving up too much. I couldn't decide between the Roku and the Amazon Fire so, I bought the Roku and attached to the bedroom TV. We like the flexibility and added features but, we were not head over heels. Set up was easy aside from not having keyboard attached. We did decide that we could cut of the cable so, this is an effective item to save some $$. However, you can add so many subscriptions that it would wind up costing more than cable! We then tried out the Amazon fire for the main TV and we are much more impressed with the menu system and ease of use. The voice command seems to work better on the Fire stick also. If you don't have Amazon prime, it may not matter too much which way you go but, I like the unified menu and ability to move directly to a show on Amazon, Netflix or Sling from the main menu rather than looking at each app separately for a movie. I am not unhappy with the Roku. I am more impressed with the Amazon Fire.

Simple to set up and easy to use. Human interface could be more intuitive.

I dumped my satellite subscription one year ago this month and I have never missed it. Everything I can't get now, sports mainly, I don't miss at all. Netflix, YouTube, Hulu, Twitch, and free app channels fill all the TV I need.

Roku still has dedicated RDIO button for non-working app. No alternative there yet. Not BB's fault but they could tell you on description. Also, when headphones in remote, sometimes after a while audio starts clicking in and out. Can't seem to figure out why. Not a battery issue. Unplug Roku and re-start works, but annoying. Otherwise, BB did everything they said they would.

This is the sixth Roku that I have purchased over the years. It is the first Roku 3. I really didn't need it but the black Friday price was too good to pass up. I like the improvements over the Roku 2 with the exception of the automatic proceeding to the next episode of the TV series unless I stop it quickly. Often the next episode is playing before I get it stopped.

after much analysis of smart tv vd Roku i finally zeroed down on Roku and turned out to be a good buy. bought it on back friday for 30 odd bucks and it is still in good shape. good thing about it is the remote that ear plugs so you can listen in using the remote which most dont have.
