It's faster, easier to use, and worth every penny. I'm very happy with my Roku 3.

We have smart tvs that aren't that smart apparently. Hate finding movies on Netflix or Amazon Prime with tv remote. This is so easy to set up and use. Love that it's small and you can take with you for hotel use. Love the app you can get for your tablet that gives you on screen keyboard for searching. No extras to buy like a keyboard just plug in with hdmi cable and your up and running.

I've wanted one for a while. It has a lot of channels. Very easy to set up but I don't think it connects to the 5.0 Ghz connection. I love that you can connect the headphones to the remote and listen to it all to yourself. I am happy with the purchase and would recommend it to anyone looking to cut the cord.

While I really like my Chromecase the Roku has a little more to offer. Especially a hardware remote. Some people (wife) are not comfortable using smart phone/tablet to control TV etc. Plus the Roku has almost ever app you need. It's also pretty responsive and in my opinion easy to use. Peace&Happiness

I purchased the new 2015 Roku 3 model. I do not have other Rokus to compare it to, but compared to other streaming items (Xbox 360, PS3, blu rays) this is clearly the fastest! Interface is clean, simple, user friendly. I havenoteven opened the manual to use the item, and not even to connect it to the TV and wifi network Maybe the only con is that there is not a power off button

Simply One of the best streamers out there' Simplelist to use by far and the added versatility of the private audio listening by plugging headphone into the remote is great for those who want to watch in bed without waking a spouse. Nice interface and solid and easy to use remote. Hockey Puck Form Factor too allows it to be stashed wherever too. Simply ROKU Excellence.

We spent a day following the instructions but could not get it to work. We worked with Roku tech support who eventually concluded that the unit was defective. When we returned it to Best Buy, the tech person there would not accept that it was defective and spent another hour trying to get it to work before concluding that - yes - it was defective. With the new unit, it worked fine.

I'm an Apple user and have an Apple TV that I'm very happy with. We bought the Roku after being recommended it by a friend as we were interested in the option to plug headphones into the remote. After a few minor issues (caused by our wifi speed) we managed to get this feature working and are very happy with it. Do I like this better than my Apple TV? Not really, but I think I'm just set in my ways, but this is a great little streaming box that does what is claims to do.

ROKU is an amazing product and simple to set up and intuitive to use.

I previously had a Roku streaming stick on my tv but read that the roku 3 was faster. At times I did feel like the streaming stick was a bit slow, mainly when it came to loading certain things so I decided to get the Roku 3 and am really happy with it. The big reason why I upgraded though was because of the lack of response with the remote for the streaming stick.

Having no cable or satellite, we were struggling to watch TV with just an antenna during wind or rain. The picture would get all pixelated and skip sounds. It was very annoying. After much research, we purchased the ROKU 3. Best move ever!! Now we can get our local programming to watch when we want and a VERY substantial savings month over month versus cable/satellite. Granted, we still have to pay monthly for certain services like Hulu Plus, CBS All Access, Amazon Prime and Netflix, but it is nowhere near the cost of the alternative. Plus we already had some of these beforehand so this format is a better venue to watch them. The only con I can think of at this time is that I really wish there were other apps available on the ROKU platform so that I no longer needed my Chromecast (ie Food Network, Watch ABC, NBC...etc...).

Went in to by the Roku Stick. Ended up with the Roku 3. Great recommendation from the sales staff. This product is awesome. Easy to set up, easy to use, easy to move to other rooms in the house. I'll be getting the "stick" for my travels.

Purchased a Roku 3 about a year ago for our guest room. Did not get to use it much until having some guests this year and they used it really intense. In the last few months we finally decided to cut the cord and long and behold, Roku has been a great thing, so now we just bought a second one as a gift for a nephew and soon will be getting another one for the guests..
