The Roku is the best streaming device on the marking when comparing it to Apple, Amazon or Google TV. Best platform interface and better remote than apple TV.

Love the voice search. Simplifies trying to find specific shows. Lots of features that the Roku 1 model didn't have. So far it is exceeding my expectations.

We found the amazon fire box has a channel guide if you are planning to use playstation vue streaming service which is a very helpful feature to have, otherwise the two are fairly equal and both work very well.

Searching options and menu navigation is very user friendly, easy to find shows and good price for this product.

Although it says you have access to the play store you do not. You can only purchase movies from Google play movies. Will not load other media programs (kodi). Returned for a more capable Android based unit.

This is our second roku device and we love how user friendly it is for all ages in our home. We love the quick access to Netflix, Hulu, CNN, MSNBC, etc.

This little device works awesome. It is essentially a DVR of sorts. We added the CBS AP and watch our shows off of prime time without having to record them.

After looking at all options for streaming, we are very pleased with Roku. It provides access to all we were looking for...except that we can't "push" streaming from other devices to Roku and ultimately the set.

The roku allowed me to upgrade my regular tv and the extra channels are nice however you are not able to take full advantage of it unless you have subscriptions to all the channels that require a subscription such as HBO, Hulu and Netflix. I understand why this is so but I don't plan to get all of these subscriptions so I will never be able to use full functionality for this roku. The headphones are a very nice touch and have already come in handy when my husband was sleeping!

We dumped our cable to give this a try, you spend on demand instead of monthly, but even after splurging, we are less than half or monthly from before!

Roku is what I was waiting for. I have all of my services on one device. Now, I'm considering cancelling my cable service. This may save me some money.

My bought this to take to Mexico because we could only get 3 English speaking channels on our cable. With the Roku we can now watch whatever we want.

I love my Roku. It has plenty of apps to download, so that you will have no problem cutting the cord on cable. It's interface is very fast and smooth.

Great alternative to cable TV. I have been watching the free stuff, and I find it an inexpensive way to get programming. Many of the movies are cheesy, but hey what do you expect for free, it's great for now.
