We got the Roku 3 for our bedroom, and it's great. The Time Warner Cable channel on this device saves us money because that is one less additional cable box to rent. Not to mention the many other channels it has, such as Pandora, Netflix, etc. Another awesome feature is that you can play music or movies off of an external hard drive or thumb disk off of the Roku.

This Roku unit is easy to use and works great for our streaming needs.

The Roku 3 is a nice upgrade from my Roku 1. There are 2 issues for me. The first is that for some reason the screen will turn a purple or pinkish color and have a message on the screen. I have to unplug my HDMI cable and plug it back in to make the message go away. The second is when I have a video file on a flash drive it has some trouble with some file types. If I convert the file to .mp4 they work well. Other than that it is fast and clear.

I have a cable TV service full of channels I never watch. ROKU 3 lets me watch what I want when I want! Seems a bit faster than the ROKU stick I used for a year. Whether you cut of your cable provider altogether or just cut back on premium channels, ROKU 3 will save you money!

This device is the best thing I've purchased as far as electronics this year. I have the Chromecast and AmazonFire stick which pale in comparison. this allows me to have Google play, Plex, and Hulu without buffering issues and the need to download the apps...Easy to set up and work. Doesn't take up much space either and playback quality is amazing.

I'm so happy I decided to get a Roku. Pretty much all of my regular programming is on Hulu, Netflix and Amazon Video, but it's cool to have access to music and workout options as well (I can also do yoga online via YogaGlo on Roku, and my mom can get her Beach Body workouts too.) Super easy to use and a reasonable price for the access to media.

I purchased my Roku as an additional streaming device. I already owned an Apple TV. Roku is best hand down !! Very easy to navigate, easy to find channels, easy to search... AND.... The language and subtitles (whatever is available for that show) ARE RIGHT THERE AS YOU WATCH THE SHOW !! (With Apple you have to go to settings and they will apply to e-v-e-r-y show you watch). With Roku - is on a per show basis. So if there is that Italian movie you like, and you speak Italian, right there on the screen while you watch your movie, you change the language to Italian and the subtitles could be "off" or "on" in Italian, English, or whatever they are available on. If I was to buy a streaming device today, I will not think about it for a minute, I would buy me a Roku!!

This is tough to say, but this is probably the best streaming device in category. Headphones are a huge plus, but the real advantages are that you can use amazon with this unit (not apple tv), along with all the other streaming services, and you can use a third party remote, like harmony(amazon fire tv/stick is a paired remote with NO IR SENSOR).
