    There should be something on the package (or the sales associate) that lets the buyer know a credit card or paypal account is required to activate the unit and make it work. Even if you have NO intention of purchasing any Roku programming. With the focus on identity theft, this is another unjustified exposure of personal information. Sure ... they say it's secure right up until the time a smarter hacker comes along .......
