Al though this is my second Roku device, not a fan of Roku, I had to purchase it to stream certain online stuffs. The reason i bought it from BestBuy is because they had it on offer at a great price.

It was very cumbersome to set up and ultimately did NOT work. Spent lot time with help desk and even exchanged unit for another. Still does not work. Likely incompatible with Comcast Internet service

The box and UI are nice, but it doesn't work with the Playstation VUE app very well. Constant crashing and lack of a guide. If you are planning on using the VUE service buy a FireTV

it doesn't really help anything. I was disappointed with what you actually get for the money. I see it's only use is to stream channels like Netflix a little faster. i would not buy this again.

Before this purchase I used 2 Roku streaming sticks for about 2-3 years. Other than the occasional inability to use the Roku app on my phone those have been good. During that time I also purchased an Amazon Fire stick but returned it since I preferred the Roku functionality and aesthetic. A couple of months ago I needed a third streaming device so I got a Roku 3 since at that time it was discounted and was the same price as a Roku Stick. It was easy to set up. Everything looked great. The image quality and device speed/responsiveness was a little better/smoother than the stick. All was well. Until... About 3-4 weeks ago it started freezing, deleting apps/channels, would intermittently allow apps to be re-added and displayed an incomplete menu. One day I had 86 channels/apps, the next I had 73. One day I'm signed into Netflix, the next I had to sign in to access it (the same has been the case for other channels/apps as well). The channel/app search also intermittently worked. Searches for popular channels like ABC, NBC, HGTV, and WatchESPN yielded no results. All of the issues above have continued to occur despite numerous factory resets (which are frustrating time wasters since each time requires the WiFi network to be set up and each Channel/app requires a sign-in) and system restarts. It seems to just be a defective device. Hopefully I don't have any issue with Best Buy exchanging it. Based on my previous Roku experience I am open to giving another Roku 3 a try.

Its easy to use, but there is very limited content. The voice search is the best thing about the unit. Amazon fire stick FTW!

Wonderful that I can record live television but there's glitches. It does not always activate you need to restart often if you have a lot of trees in your viewing area.

I had a problem with the remote control i change it twice it work for a while than it stop and the quality of the product is very cheap . I dont recommend this product

The device I bought does not maintain a connection. I've had it about a year now, and I think it worked better at first. Either that or it works for Netflix but not some of the other apps I've recently gotten. I can sit with my laptop open and watch HBONow in the same room, but when I try on this Roku it consistently drops the connection :(. Writing to the manufacturer now...

Bought the 3 because sometimes you have to put in a little more money to get better quality. Don't waste $90 on this piece of junk. Returned it the next day.

The Roku 3 looked sleek, the On-Screen Display and Navigation were sexy, and the physical connections were easy as can be. I spent 24 hours with this new device, trying to get it to connect to Roku's server to complete its required initial software download during setup. It would not connect to its server, although I had operational internet. I spent hours on the phone with Roku overseas product support, my internet provider, and my gateway (modem/router) manufacturer. None were able to get me connected, although the gateway manufacturer support rep let me know he fields a lot of calls from frustrated Roku device purchasers who cannot connect their new Rokus through their existing, working internet connections. I was able to get the software download to complete, by completely disabling all my internet antivirus and firewall features, leaving me completely exposed to infiltration. The Roku was once again unable to function when I restore the internet security that worked fine with everything else I owned. At the modem manufacturer rep's suggestion, I returned the Roku 3 and bought an Amazon Firestick, brought it home and was enjoying the Firestick in a few minutes. Too bad, as I had heard good things about the Roku experience.

I got it for a decent price in Bestbuy, else i'm not a fan of Roku devices at all need to have it to stream certain online contents.

I struggled to travel thru my options with this item the channels told to me by my salesperson were not available thru this system

It works for what I wanted it for. Though you'll have to sign up for some services. It will still play YouTube n all that.

The Roku 3 has been very good but I only bought it because the Roku stick that I bought was not working properly,

My previous roku worked better. This roku asked me to enter password all the time.

No off Button on the remote, Roku-3 always stay on!!! The remote battery didnt last more then 6 weeks, the little tongue on the battery door cover brakes easily, so now I have to use electric tape to keep it in place. Every now and then it freezes and I have to get up and unplug it and plug it back.

You can now get newer versions of this Roku for just a little bit more when you wait for the right sale.

This is my second roku 3 because of pairing the remote to the roku. I am having the same problem with this one!

Do your homework ahead of time. There are other products at half the cost that function just as well.
