I have been using Roku 3 for years, they need to do something about the remote

I could not get this device to work. I took it back to Best Buy and they ran it through their WiFi and said it was fine. I took it home and couldn't get it to work. All my other devices work on my home network WiFi, but not this one. It will go off to college with my daughter. Maybe she will have better luck.

I have struggled to use my Roku. The remote won't work and all i get is the welcome screen. I'm changing to AppleTV because the frustration level has gotten too high of trying to figure out what is going on. I would not recommend this product

We previously had the Roku 2, and after remodeling a room, we decided to move that to the new room and upgrade to the Roku 3 for our main tv. As much as we love the Roku 2, the Roku 3 is a definite upgrade in terms of speed. The voice search feature is also great. Definitely recommend for all of your streaming video needs!

I bought this over the thanksgiving holiday weekend and returned it within in 2 weeks.Remote does not work and constantly looses wifi connection. I am relieved now that I have returned it.

I bought this to add along with my Chromecast so me and my family could have 2 streaming players in the house. So I wanted to replace Chromecast with the Roku. I have to say it's very fast, easy to use, and has lots of channels but for the ones I need it for which is YouTube and Twitch (I watch alot of gaming videos) those apps were very disappointing and the reason why I'm taking it back for another Chromecast. The quality on most channels is quite good but it would not stay in consistent HD with Twitch and played in standard 360p quality on YouTube and I have a very fast connection so it's not that either. I had to pair YouTube with my phone and play videos from there for the Roku to (sometimes) play in a maximum quality of 720p. Not only that but the framerate was bad too and the quality would get pixelated during heavy action scenes. It's a shame because I really like it otherwise. These particular apps are relatively new on the device so perhaps they will get updated in the future and better optimized, but I don't have time to wait and see if maybe they will or not. So, final verdict. DON'T buy if you are a heavy YouTube or Twitch user. Save your money and get a Chromecast which is much cheaper. If you just like Netflix and other channels then this is perfect. I did find it funny that on the free movie apps like Popcorn Flix they had movies that were the generic bootleg equivalent of the movies you were actually looking for. Like "Chop Kick Panda" instead of "Kung Fu Panda" loll, but that's just on the free stuff you'll find.

I bought this product because of the Tablo app. It works great. The wireless ( not IR) remote is a big plus. I can completely hide the Roku behind my TV. The Roku is the best option I've seen for Tablo, Netflix, and Vudu. I don't use my PS3 or Apple TV much at all now.

There are multiple options for video streaming but I no of none that offer so many choices both paid and free. It was easy to set up, easy to operate and is fast. I've had it 6 months with no issues. I even listen to iHeart radio with it. No regrets.

Roku and Comcast router not compatible. Roku help center NO help! No light on remote and to small.

My brother's family has three of these and they have worked great since they got them. There are tons of options to watch, your smart phone can be used as your remote, has voice command capability and a USB port. It's great stuff!

Just received this and instead of a Roku I received 2 smart plugs. I called and was on hold over 1/2 hour and got hung up on. Not happy!

I have many streaming devices in my home, from the Xbox one, Xbox 360, chrome cast, netgear streamer, the Roku 3 is by far the best and easiest to use. It's ultra fast and it never lags up or gives me issues. It's a win!

I had a Roku streaming stick for about 8 months prior to purchasing the Roku 3. The streaming stick was good in the beginning, but as time wore on, it became incredibly warm after just a few minutes of use and had lots of buffering issues. The Roku 3 is amazing in comparison. The device is small and compact and the speed of transitions from menu to streaming is much, much faster than the stick. I preferred the remote for the stick over the one for Roku 3, but I'm adjusting. I have not used the headphones yet, so I can't comment on those. One thing to note - the Roku 3 does not come with an HDMI cable, so you need to have one or purchase one. That was a little disappointing considering the price, but once I started streaming without buffering, I got over it.

So my husband and I decided to cut the cable cord. First we tried the FireTV stick because it was on sale and I got it for a good price. I thought it was okay but I didn't care for the interface that much, and it didn't have that many channels. So we did some research and decided to get a Roku 3. Wow! I love it. It has a great interface, clean and intuitive. I like that you can order your channels the way that you want. Speaking of channels, it puts the FireTV stick to shame. So many more choices. The voice search is excellent, and I love the "My Feed" option. You add your favorite movies or TV programs to "My Feed" and it lets you know on which channels those shows are available (and how much they cost). It would be fantastic if the search included Netflix, but I understand that it was the decision of Netflix not to participate in that. Shame. I also like the remote better than the FireTV. It's larger and not as easy to lose as I have done with the small FireTV remote. For reference, we have a 25 mbps internet speed and we use a TP-Link wireless router. We've had no issues with lag or delay. Smooth streaming all the way so far. We calculate that by using Roku and subscribing to Netflix, Hulu, and the rotation of HBO or Showtime during certain seasons, we won't be missing much of our favorite shows, and we'll be saving over $100 a month.

Not a fan of the roku players, returned this item due to not enough functionality with android apps. .
