Easy to setup with 1 exception, I continue to not to like the setup portion where it requireds you to log on for the set up code from your computer. I wish they could make it set up automatically just "plug and play "

Roku is a great product; streaming movies and shows made a lot easier.

I've bought 2 of these in the past year. One for myself and one as a gift. I don't have cable tv and digital antenna quality is not great. So viewing some news channels are great once playstation vue became an option this thing is perfect. Would recommend for people who wants apps like netflix, hulu and amazon prime but don't want to spend money on a smart tv.

The Roku3 is a great product for streaming APPs from today's internet. Family members love the shortcut buttons to play Netflix. I also like the included ear buds that connect into the remote control, very convenient! Also no need to point the remote, it's RF (radio frequency) similar to a garage door opener control. Setup is easy!

i recently gave up my cable and this is a great alternative. Great for traveling also - not limited to hotel tv options.

Love my Roku! It took a little convincing but this year we have disconnected from Cable TV and only watch shows on the Roku and we don't regret it! (Even my 7 and 10 year old kids prefer watching shows on Roku instead of Cable TV.) The only reason it is getting a 4 star review instead of a 5 is that my old Roku 2 remote had a button for a 5 second jump back so that if you missed something you could go back a few seconds in time to rewatch that part again. The new remote with the Roku 3 does not have that option and instead only has a reverse button which is a little more difficult to do a quick 5 second rewind on to catch a line again. FYI, I have also used an Apple TV and I prefer the Roku due to functionality and the amount of channel options it has.

This unit is considered the best unit in the Roku "fleet". It's a piece of garbage. I have a Roku 2 XS in my bedroom that I bought 4 years ago. It is considered obsolete, and is no longer available for purchase. That unit works WAY better than this new piece of junk that cost me twice as much. It constantly needs reset, it lags a lot, and it clearly needs either a software or firmware update. Supposedly, it checks for updates daily. I have done manual checks daily. None available. My Roku 3 is very close to my high-speed modem, and it constantly loses signal. My Roku 2 is about 20 feet further from my modem, and never loses signal. There is absolutely no structural interference, and there is no local signal interference. Underneath this comment, where it says "I would recommend this to a friend", my answer would not be allowed in print on this website. Absolute garbage product. I regret this purchase, and I wish I had another XS.

This is the most versatile and most complete streamer there is. It is a geat value as well.

Bought this primarily to watch Netflix. The Roku-3 automatically goes to autoplay at the end of a program,which shrinks the credits and starts the next episode even if you turn off autoplay in your Netflix settings. Apple TV correctly follows your Netflix choice not to use autoplay. Also, when browsing Netflix, the Roku-3 starts playing an entry before it allows you to read the description of the show. Very annoying!

I have bought sever Roku Streaming Players over the past 7 years. I love them. This is the best one you can get, if you don't have a 4K Ultra High Def telly. If you do, get yourself a Roku 4 and enjoy your clearly awesome life. It has games and voice search.

I purchased this when I "Cut the Cord" and I love how it puts all my streaming services in one place. I use Netflix, Prime, Hulu and a few other services, and Roku lets me search them all at once for shows or actors. It makes streaming much simpler. I also like being able to control my Roku from my Phone with the App.

This is the best streaming device I've ever used. HD quality picture fast with very few disruptions. Lots of streaming channels available to download and many subscription channels offer free trial periods. Definitely worth buying.

Exelent channels to se movies and tv shows very good definition

i bought Roku SE as well, but Roku 3 is so much better than SE. It's running so fast, and screencast works really good. Now I can just spend $20 a month on Sling Back TV on Roku and get rid of TV program service.

The Roku 3 has an enormous selection of channels. The Roku 3 loads faster than any other streaming device I've owned and the headphone jack in the remote is genius. No complaints - highly recommended.

I bought this Roku for use with the TV in my bedroom and it works great! I don't have a smart TV in my bedroom and wanted to be able to watch Netflix and Hulu. Most likely getting HBO go next :))

I bought this as an upgrade from my old WD Live media player. Much faster and a nice user interface. Voice operated remote is cool, as is being able to plug headphones into the remote.

Great product but their service is terrible. After 8 months of use, my Roku suddenly stopped streaming video - the audio was playing in the background. Called Roku, spent hours and hours trouble shooting with them. Then sent the unit back in and they still haven't returned a new one. When I asked to speak with a supervisor, the first person hung up on me. The next one asserted he was a supervisor and there was no one higher than him. I don't think I would by this product again simply because of their service.

I bought this specifically for streaming and playing back video files from a USB drive. You have to download an app first to access the USB drive but it works great.

After 5 weeks, every other time I try to access Netflicks it gives me a can't access content error message. reboot and it works Online research provided no help but a lot of people have the same problem. Bought this to replace Google tv (old) and am disappointed . Would not buy it again. Computer with tv tuner in my den is still the best way to access streaming content and be able to record favorite shows. BestBuy has 15day return policy on electronics or I would invest in another tower dedicated to TV center then I could simply type on a real key board instead of getting dizzy moving the arrow around the virtual key board.
