p--- poor documentation with Roku3 and on line
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased a Roku3 for ease of viewing over my Sony Blu Ray. Instead, I had a product that in 1.5 hours of trying to use it an another 1/2 on line with Roku support had very little results. The hook-up instructions are not instructions at all. There are four prints, with no wording, for hooking the cable up. No documentation either written or on-line giving use of remote controller. In order for this to even function, the Blu Ray player had to be disconnected. One cable and a power cord makes this appear to be plug and go: Far from it!!!!! If you have a multi-unit home entertainment system, you need to look somewhere else. I use YouTube a lot, and this product could not cope with it. Probable ok for movies, but, documentaries and individual videos---forget it. I would rate this product as a 1/2 star.

Major audio sync bug affecting all Roku devices
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.As of 02/01/2017 - Warning! Roku currently has a MAJOR software bug affecting most devices. DO NOT PURCHASE. My Roku Ultra is currently completely unusable. There is a bug in EVERY SINGLE VIDEO APPLICATION which causes major audio delays. Plex, Amazon, Hulu, Netflix etc all have issues randomly where the audio for the movie or show you are watching will be terribly out of sync with the video. So if you like 2 second delays on the sound in your movies or tv shows go ahead and purchase. There are multiple threads with over 20 pages detailing these problems in the Roku forums. Roku has been stringing us along for over two months now. But all we are told is "its being looked at". DO NOT BUY ROKU UNTIL THIS IS FIXED. CURRENTLY NO FIX IS SCHEDULED.

( they have a california number ?? ) and what a joke there is no support that cares anyway, but sling i repeat sling is great you nee any other box than roku if you want support , what a joke
