This is much easier for my husband to operate than the blu Ray to get Netflix. And I love that the remote has a plug in for headphones (provided) He can watch what he wants on tv while I'm sleeping and I'm not disturbed. Loving it!

I own the Roku 1, the Roku 2, Google Chromecast, Apple TV and the Amazon Fire Stick. However, when it comes to streaming content online, nothing beats the Roku 3. My Roku 2 would sometimes freeze up and I'd have to reboot the box, but I've never had this issue with the Roku 3. The Roku 3 provides great resolution without any lag or buffering (so far). The remote is Wi-Fi direct so you don't need to have line-of-site to access the menu. My only quip is that the Roku 3 remote is a bit bulky and slippery. I wish it was flatter and more matte in texture like the Roku 1 remote. The earphone jacks in the Roku 3 remote are a feature I use much more often than I thought I'd be using. Granted you can buy one of the higher-end Roku boxes, but for the price and performance, the Roku 3 is your best value.

I had the roku 2 upgraded to the 3. I didn't feel like I would see much difference but I noticed improvements in how apps like Netflix operate. Some have major improvements while others like amazon seem more of a hassle. Overall great purchase. The headphones option is a great asset to have.

I have tried AppleTv, Chromecast and Kindle Fire Stick before this and the Roku3 beats them all. I will say AppleTv is a close second. Roku has more streaming apps than all of the others and is the easiest to use. It should be your first choice for streaming, even if you are an Apple loyalist.

cons: no good podcast player on roku, does not change from wifi to LAN on its own. Pros: great remote control including an incredible port for headphones. Ether net port no lag in streaming Overall I agree with cnet that it is the better product among the current line of streaming devices.

I like the Roku better than the Fire Tv stick that I have. I like the voice search on the remote and use it often. It is also helpful that I can search for a specific show or movie and the Roku will show me all the available streaming options.

I am now a convert of listening to music again....left it out of my life last 20 years because too busy to pick and choose and set up music likes, etc...with Roku, it was so easy and enjoyable and really a pleasure to use

I did not need the latest greatest streamer but still needed one with a USB input to play MP4 files and run VUDU. If you are looking for 4K look elsewhere but this little box is easy to use and fast enough not to get frustrated.

I enjoy the voice search feature the easy access button on the remote what I don't like is the purple message that comes up when I'm trying to view certain shows it doesn't work and it shows a purple screen that says that the HDMI cable isn't responsive other than that I love the product

I love the Roku 3 streaming system. It's easy to hook up and I get tons of the shows I like. The headphone feature on the remote is a great addition but no volume control on the remote when not using the headphones makes it necessary to use the TV remote for volume which is a bit awkward. Otherwise completely satisfied with my purchase including the price paid.

I was using the playstation 3 for streaming but have always had trouble with playstation network shutting down so researched to find the best streaming device and Roku 3 did not disappoint. Very happy with this purchase.

I've said it before and I will say it again: "Roku 3 is the number one streaming product on the market today." I now proudly own the entire suite of Roku players and the Roku3 is the only player I have purchased more than one and will happily buy again if/when the need arises.

Used it twice so I'm not an expert. Not impressed with voice command for movie, title, actor, director. Asked for "Jaws" - John Wayne comes up, 2nd time - "nothing found for 'Jawz'", 3rd time - "nothing found for 'draws'" - very disappointing. Thought I'd be able to search through YouTube with voice command. Keypad not backlit, clunky key-by-key search grid (I did mate it to my tablet to use the keypad), online registration process did not function properly from my S2 tablet - fields were not highlighted to enter data. With use I may become more proficient as I'm learning.

Rocky 3 lives to expectations. Easy to set up and great features.

Awesome..... Flawless streaming of movies. Thousandsof streaming channels to choose from. A great plus isthe ease of controling the Roku from our phones and tablets. Roku instantly receives our photos, videos and music wirelessly. No wires to hook up from phones and tablets... Yea!

Somewhat easy to use with many MANY options of shows and movies. Eliminates need for so many other devices. Only, if the remote had the ability to create your own buttons. Program special quick buttons. All in all, pretty awesome! Would recommend and would buy another for another room.

All Your shows right at your fingertips. Plus great features with headphones and verbal searches. I highlly recommend getting this version of the ROKU. The features are well worth it and the picture is crystal clear.

I really like the roku 3. Its easy to set up and easy to stream. I also love the Option to voice search. I appreciate the headsets especially at night when watching tv.

Originally I used couple different Media Streamers and had performance issues so i decided to check Roku out and it didn't disappoint. It was quick through out the menu and apps, games had good graphics and a very great selections of apps. Would defiantly recommend to a friend.

I purchased my Roku 3 a few months ago and all I can say is wow! The device is very easy to setup and once up and running the navigation is a breeze. The Roku's speed to upload programs is impressive and I love the fact that you can use your smartphone to control the device.
