The main difference between the Roku 3 and Roku 4, is that Roku 4 streams 4K video. I actually have both, but do not have a 4K TV. I also purchased a Roku stick, but returned it because I could not get it to connect to my WI-fi. It plugged directly into the hdmi and was very directional. I read you can request an hdmi extension cable, but why bother? The Roku 3 & 4 work great out of the box for subscriptions to Netflex, Hulu, and Amazon Prime. I have Time-Warner cable TV and installed their app to watch my cable subscription channels on my patio TV without having to install a cable box. You can stream from Kodi if you have it installed on another remote wireless device and mirror it to the Roku. It will also work with Plex when it is installed on your desktop computer using it as a client. In short, this is a great streaming box to use for streaming your subscribed videos, but more difficult to set up for the good free stuff. There are thousands of free channels out there if you choose to watch them.

The voice search is pretty spot on and the Roku 3 lets me play videos from YouTube/Hulu/Netflix/Amazon. Hard to beat the value of this streamer!

Performed just as expected. Fast streaming and easy to use. Downloaded the free app for our android phones to operate as the remote, world perfectly!

Just got this product a few days ago and WOW! The setup was extremely easy and the use of it is even easier. I have gone through several streaming devices and as of now this is at the top of the list!

This is easy to set up and use. Be aware that you do have to coordinate with your computer or Smart phone. There are many free channels offered as well as all of the major subscription channels.

I use Roku with Amazon prime and until now it works great. Interface can be improved but it is good enough now. The product is very stable via wi-fi connection. I will recommend it my friends.

I cut the cable cord a few months ago and decided to get a Roku 3 to stream Netflix, Hulu, HBO Go, etc... Since my purchase I can honestly say that this is hands down the best device for streaming.

I have Apple TV Tivo and Netgear neotv and I use this one more then any of them for online content and I realy love the headphone jack on the remote so my wife can watch her movies wile in bed

I like this so much better than my fire stick. Voice search works across all apps. You can plug headphones into the remote and turn off tv volume for private listening. Hundreds of channels, many free. Great for cutting the cord. Wifi or wired connections.

I bought this Roku as a second one to keep in the kitchen, needless to say I'm now putting this in my living room and putting my old Roku 2 XB in the kitchen now. Movies load so fast and I love the speech to text options. The salesmen told me it was the top of the line and it's great. I just can't seem to get games to work. But over all I love this box!

I bought this as a birthday present for my son-in-law. I own the earlier model. I like the upgrade to voice commands on this model. Roku's menus are easy to use and customization is a breeze.

Much faster than all the other models, easy and a great alternative for the kids. I actually bought 3 of them for the house so everyone can take advantage of our Netflix and Amazon Prime account.

Bought it for my 8 years old LCD TV (non-smart no-internet Sharp TV). Its interface and remote control are much better than my 2 years old Smart Samsung TV which has a remote with a touch pad.

Works great, easy to step up. Love the headphone jack in the remote. I can watch TV and my baby can nap next to me :) only downside is that the batteries in the remote die fairly quick probably because of this feature.. Maybe they will last 3-4 weeks.

Used this to replace our cable. Setup is quick and easy. Using it is really simple as well. My mother and mother-in-law were able to figure it out quickly when they watched the kids. Some apps you can't use without a cable provider, and some you have to pay for. We upgraded to a different type of box that's similar to this but has everything for free including live tv, movies, etc. But we kept this for the tv in the kids playroom.

Bought for my nearly 75 year old father for christmas, love the headphone jack as he can plug his hearing device in, and watch TV in the middle of a sleepless night without disturbing mom.

I first bought an Apple TV, being that I am generally an Apple person and I hate to admit it, but I was extremely disappointed in the product. You still have to have cable for most of the apps, which defeated the purpose of me getting that device in the first place. I did further research and found the Roku 3 had great reviews. And I also give it a great review! Much better free apps to choose from and for $20 a month I get Sling TV, which I am so glad to have! Still way cheaper than keeping cable. Very happy with the Roku so far.

The Roku is a necessary part of our home these days. Kids can easily navigate and find programs to watch. Love the ease of use and functionality, don't think we'd like to live without it.

The Roku is good for all ages! My 2 yr old streams learning videos from you tube, my older son watches his Netflix and is able to watch HBO movies and a bunch of other channels! Purchased 2 more for gifts! I'm sure my parents will love it as well!
