Customers are saying
Customers value the 3 Streaming Player's ease of use, smooth streaming capabilities, and intuitive remote control. Many appreciate the voice search function and the device's compact size. While some users noted shorter battery life and occasional heat generation, the positive feedback on performance and picture quality outweighs these minor drawbacks.

Great solution
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was using my smart tv apps and such, but I could not get an app I wanted and heard Roku was great. In fact, my Amazon prime app was so small on my tv I could not read it. With the Roku I have the apps I wanted and the Amazon prime app is different and I can now read it. Also, it is easy to use. Very impressed

OK
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The unit is too small. It runs hot and I feel that will reduce its service life. I put a ceramic tile under it to avoid any discoloration of the TV console from the heat. It cannot be turned off, so it runs 24/7. It does the job of streaming video, but the claim of 2000 channels is disappointing when many channels are old TV shows/B movies with excessive commercials unless a you pay a fee to watch.

Great product for streaming
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love it! Works great. Has about every possible streaming app one can think of. Would have given 5 stars if it had a power button! It stays on all the time, and if you forget to hit the home button it continues to stream, even when one turns off the tv. Not a big deal to remember. Unless one has kids like I do.

Improvements over v2, but gets hot
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Haven't figured out why but this thing is always kind of hot on the bottom of it (enough to discolor types of wood). I positioned in the air so it can "breath" and it seems to be ok. Happy that DLNA is built in to this version and not something you have to download. Sony has been crippling their streamers so that you have to buy the more expensive versions to get something that is essentially free software. Samsung has DLNA in their streamers but it is clunky and slow. Voice feature is nice, but I don't really use it. Haven't used the headphones yet but I'm sure I will at some point. The apps have no impact on me since I only use Netflix/Amazon. There are a lot of apps for old TV programs that are free and for some people this will be a nice bonus. Little surprised there hasn't been much of an update to the Amzn app, its really outdated compared to the Netflix app. I like Roku 3 but if money is a priority, the better deal is a fire stick, or Sony/Samsung streaming BDVD players which all can be had for $50 or less (on sale for the BDVD players).

No Problems! Works Great!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This little Roku box has been invaluable and works flawlessly. I have it hardwired to ethernet instead of trying to do wireless and I find that way you usually don't have much lag or breakup if your internet is fast. Nothing bad to say.

Good
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Everything about it is good except the remote batteries die quick. Especially when the headphones are plugged in to it

Great device if you don't cable
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This device is great for watching shows online. Only wish it had more free channels. If you are at a location other than your home that has cable (like student away at school), they can use the cable sign on to watch shows such as HBO-GO, FX, FOX. If you don't have cable somewhere, you would have to pay for those channels. Great for watching Netflix if you have an account.

Best Streaming Device on the market
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We tried the AppleTV, Chromecast, Samsung and Sony bluray players, and even a few Smart TV's, but this beats them all by far. The largest variety of channels available, plus the almost unlimited selection of "private" channels makes this the true winner. And the wireless streaming of the audio through the remote to wired headphones seals the deal for late night viewing.
