This is our second one. Love it. So easy to use and for the grandkids.

Product was for a family member. They used to connect their laptop to the TV via HDMI cable, but this is obviously much more easy to deal with as it is always connected and gives a stream directly into the TV. We really like the wired ethernet option as that's the best connectivity medium to use with these types of devices. Normally, the wifi antenna is the first thing to degrade over time. The box has a weird interface (at first) to get used to, but after navigating through the menus for a while, we finally got used to it. Nice product - would definitely recommend to someone with the services included on the device. We got it for HBO GO which was not shown on our package (but HBO NOW was)... but you can definitely get HBO GO downloaded to the device - and it works great!

I debated for a while before getting a Roku, I've always used my Xbox to stream Amazon, etc. Finally I decided to get the Roku 3 because you can watch movies & TV shows that are saved on a USB as well as streamed. Works great.

Fairly easy to navigate. I like the headphone feature. Little aggravating that it doesnt come with an HDMI.

This is our second Roku 3. We have one of the older models and now the new model. It is nice that if you find a new channel to use it shows up on both devices because they are tied to your account. Roku has a lot of channels for movies or old TV shows. If you hate commercials the free channels are usually free because they have commercials. You can decide if you want to watch them. We watch Netflix and it is faster than the Smart TV or the blu ray with the Netflix. The connections seem faster and Roku seems to update older devices but I don't know for how long. The smart TV and blu ray always says there are no updates. As a result, Netflix seems more dated on the other devices but they still work. The size of the Roku is nice also. I would suggest to at least try the Roku.

This device allowed me to cut the cord and get rid of my $100+ satellite subscription. Now I am using apps to connect with Food Channel, History, etc. for WAY less. HBO is even available now. Plus, local over-the-air broadcasts are way better quality (not compressed) than satellite on my flat screen.

The Roko 3 enabled me to eliminate on of the Time Warner cable boxes (on #2 TV), thus lowering my monthly bill. In addition, it provided access to many streaming services - including Netflix, that I'd been paying for, but could not receive on my #2 TV. Would like to encourage a new Roko 4 to come out soon with DVR capability so I can cut the cable entirely!

Roku was very easy to set up. Enjoying all the features provided.

I have tried streaming on my smart tv and Playstation 3 only to have that annoying buffering happen. I have watched 2 movies so far on this ROKU device and absolutely no buffering. With thousands of channels to choose from, you may be able to cancel all your cable/sat providers.

Love the Roku. Easy to use and set up. Have already recommended it.

Works as described.I bought this item to replace slow smart TV.

Our cable company kept saying that they couldn't get a cable into our Master Bedroom without a lot of work and expense due to an outside brick wall. So... no TV. The Roku - 3 Streaming Player was a simple solution that allows me to get much of what I would watch on my "wired" TVs.
