Having turned on regular tv since I got Roku, it's great!

Great product, vast amount of apps available for download.

I've been using Roku for a long time but this is for sure the best one ever made. It's fast and I love the fact that I can listen to TV while disturbing no one by using the headphones in the remote. Love it.

I bought the roku b/c I was tired paying satellite service. I cancelled dish network 2 months ago. I thought I would return to dish. NO WAY. My monthly bill is now 34.00 vs 100.00. There is so much to choose from the many channels and of course there's Sling TV. Sometimes the streaming is slow but not enough that I'm going back to dish,

Bought this unit to replace an upstairs cable box (The unit will pay for itself in a few months after savings from not renting the cable box from the TV service provider). I am using this unit to learn more about streaming TV and if the device proves to meet my entertainment needs... I may end up putting the entire house on streaming TV instead. So far, I am really enjoying learning how to use this product and its services.

When it comes to streaming devices, Roku is an authority in the subject. The hardware specs could be improved though to make it more quick to respond, or the OS could be improved to match its hardware. But overall it is a great and affordable entertainment center.

Roku 3 is an excellent upgrade from any of the previous versions. If you have an older one don't judge this one by those, this is a giant leap forward in terms of speed. Those have a much slower technology. Had a major problem streaming movies with my 2 and HD versions. Someone actually told me they bought the 3 for Christmas and that it was a big upgrade (and we are both skeptics but I'm the biggest skeptic I know). Went with that, and it really is a big difference. I think it's worth it (at least for me) coming from the headache of my other ones! The only reason I can't give 5 stars is because the Roku 4K is out (no experience with that one yet). Otherwise if this was the latest, it would be 5 stars!!...Hope this review helps!

This is the third Roku device I've purchased. The Roku 3 is easy to set up, and searching and streaming is very fast. It can also connect to 2.4 and 5GHz networks, so you can choose which is less congested.

I read the reviews and decided to get Roku instead of Apple TV and I'm glad I did. Even though my router is in the living room programs come in perfectly in my bedroom. I like the fact that the only cost associated with it is the purchase price with no monthly fee.
