Roku 3 works well with Time Warner. I have taken out three cable boxes. I kept the dvr because roku does lag. You can add gigs of memory (I added 64 gigs). Roku is adding features weekly. It's a decent device. You just need to know what apps to add for what you want to watch. So you might have to do some research.

I picked up two Roku 3's when they were on sale for $49. I already had another that we had been using in the bedroom. I haven't delved into the world of 4K television yet, and don't plan on doing so anytime soon, so I felt no need to go with the latest models. I won't lie that I'm actually more of an Apple TV fan for its sleek remote and more pleasing interface, but for additional bedrooms and side rooms I prefer Roku because of the added benefit that it can be used much like a cable box with the Time Warner Cable app and also because of the Amazon instant video app (both these are glaringly lacking from the Apple TV). I would also recommend going with a better model Roku like the 3 rather than the cheapest intro models like the Express because you will notice much better load times and ease of use. You get what you pay for there.

Although I am not a tech-savvy person, this product was easy to install and navigate with. My TV is older and not quite a "smart" TV, but the Roku works great and I am very happy with it

Fairly easy to set up and get started with. I was watching shows in 20 minutes.

It is a great option to get rid of the cable, you only need a internet connection.

I cut the cord years ago and Roku products made it easy. Buy with confidence, you wont regret it! Easy to use, great apperance and a remote thats easy for kids to use and understand.

This unit has paid for itself in cost savings in the first month. Only word of warning, there are lip sync issues associated with the unit being used with some Samsung TVs. Restarting the Roku solves the issue temporarily (several hours). It is related to the processing in the TV, not the Roku3.

Nice idea, saves money on cable bills. Works well, but does have hidden cost.

I bought this after doing tons of research on the Amazon Fire, Roku, and Apple TV. This one gave me the most bang for your buck. I have successfully cut the cable TV cord with this device. Gives you tons of app to use to watch tv, and the capability to watch live tv on Playstation Vue or Sling. I choose Playstation Vue for the DVR function, plus with Playstation Vue you can use that as your provider for the Roku apps that will open you up to tons of other programing. Easy to set up and get rolling. I don't have any complaints so far, just a bit of learning curve if your used to the cable box. I bought 2 of these for my tv and my living room TV. As a side note, be sure that you have strong internet download speed to be able to get the most out of the wireless function. We are streaming 50 down and going wireless and I haven't had any streaming issues.

This unit works extremely well. No connection problems. Best feature is headphone jack in the remote! This is awesome for watching TV while your spouse goes to sleep!

A lot of stuff to get through with in it so I still have not found everything that I would like to use so there is a lot of choices. I even found a Aspergers channel that I got into. Its not Apple TV or Amazon Stick. I think there are a lot more channels on it. Not a waste of money to be sure.

It performs as expected and is perfect for the use in which I bought it for.

I bought this for travel so I could take my shows and movies on the road with me. A good tip is that only Roku and the Amazon stick will work with a shared wifi connection like they have in hotel rooms and dorms. The roku isn't as flashy or powerful as the AppleTV but it's the better option for travelers, and has better app selection (Apple wants you to buy only from iTunes)

This is my second Roku I bought. I own an Apple TV as well and I like Roku over the Apple. The Roku has more Apps and it's easy to set up. I will definitely buy another Roku unit.

Only thing I don't like is most channels you have to have a paid subscription reason I got a roku was to get away from cable bills but with all the good roku channels needing subscriptions you end up paying just as much but needless to say it's still better then cable there are some free channels
