Bought it for a tv in a room that didn't have internet capabilities. It works. I have smart tvs in the other rooms. The only really cool thing is the remote which has a headphones jack & voice activated stuff. Otherwise nothing exceptional. Recap: Works if you need it for a non-internet capable tv...but the only real thing setting it apart from other similar products is the feature-packed remote which looks like a Fisher Price toy...but it's kinda cool underneath the simplistic/corny looking buttons. It would be cool if it folded out to a wireless/bluetooth keyboard...but of course that would involve an extra cost for this product.......

I previously purchased the Roku Streaming Stick and was completely dissatisfied. The Roku 3 installed easily and set-up was simple. I was glad that I could disable recommended channels and select my preferred Roku channels on-line.

Much better than the previous Roku versions. Like the remote control as well.

This is my 6th Roku 3 purchase and I use them around my home, at my mom's home, and traveling to hotels. The wired connection ensure my video quality is not subject to wifi interference - just quality of the ISP service provider.

I purchased the Roku 3 shortly after the birth of our son. Interface is great, content is abundant, works well. The biggest surprise benefit was the headphone jack in the remote control. My wife and I use this ALL of the time during those late nights/early mornings rocking out little man to sleep.

There are now many devices to add apps to your TV. This one works well with relatively easy set up and use. choosing the right device for your tv depends on the services you are looking for but this works well at a relatively low cost.

I only use it to stream Netflix and Amazon, and it works great with both.

I love the Roku 3 it plays all your favorite online content in 1080p, it is a small package no lights or other nonsense. Don't burn up your ps4 any longer buy this. It also has the time warner app so you can watch live tv. But it!

Newest Roku 3 now out with updated hardware. Would highly recommend this set top box as it is the top offering product when it comes to content. You will have access to pretty much any streaming service out there and then plus some.

Purchased this device because we are thinking of getting rid of expensive cable tv. The number of programs and movies available allow us to watch better, more entertaining shows at times of our choosing. Cable will soon be history.

Hundreds of channels and all the good apps like Netflix, Amazon, PBS, and especially the TWC (now Spectrum) app which allows Spectrum digital tv WiFi streaming in any room (assuming you have a TWC or Spectrum cable TV account plus Internet. Good WiFi performance. Once you have setup a Roku account, every Roku you have will automatically download the apps the you have selected in your account. If you have an ethernet connection and want to hookup to that, then you need the higher premium Roku 3 which has the ethernet port. The earphone feature is useful if you want to listen privately and not disturb others.

concept and user interface are great as well as streaming quality. My only issue is that I experience glitches once in a while, like Netflix suddenly not being able to play 5.1 DD anymore. Only restart helps, in some instances I even had to reinstall the Netflix app. Still a great little device.

There are tons of apps. I wish xfinity would put an app on there already but its still a great product with out it. Way easier than casting from my phone or hooking up my computer to my tv. Love the headphone to remote feature, as well!

My Roku 2 was so slow loading and had no ethernet port attached. Had too many problems. I bought the Roku 3 with the ethernet and it works flawlessly. Its fast and apps run great.

Highly recommended if you want to stream many different media sources with an easy to use remote. Many streaming choices but I think that VUE-TV running on a PS3 or PS4 is probably your best bet to leave big cable. Clarity of streaming USTV, though a bit complex to set up, is excellent!

I have Google Chromecast and an Amazon FireStick and use both frequently, but bought the Roku for my wife based on other reviews. Favorite feature is the jack for audio headset on the handheld remote. Now she can watch whatever as loud as she wants without disturbing others in the house.

I want one for all tvs. It lets me watch my Shows and stream from iPad.
