The sound is like a television so if you want to upgrade it you have to go Bluetooth it doesn't have any plugins much less a earphone plug in it is strictly a television for modern technology to be realized for any additional premium sound and or accessories such as DVD or CD or Blu-ray but the TV is a good choice for a smart TV because Roku does have the system down pat and it's something you can enjoy without much effort
