Some devices have a Simple Remote that doesn’t have TV controls (Power and Volume), so you'll need your TV remote for those functions. The only new Roku devices available are the HD Roku Express and non-plus(+) models that typically come with a Simple Remote. We recommend the Roku Voice Remote if you want to control your TV's power and volume with the Roku remote. For example, it does not explain how to turn it off when you are finished watching your program. Also, it does not tell you how to exit.
