I tried to firesticks before getting this and they both quit due to heat problems. i would get this and not get the firestick.

Better than Expected

I am older and had someone install it for me and show me how to use it. Thinking of getting rid of satilite company and purchased a roku to test it out.

A Great Alternative

Set up was not too complicated. Uploading apps is straightforward. Drawbacks are that you can not directly input your channels, there is no rewinding or fast forwarding and it does freeze a lot.

Turns an old TV into a smart TV

It did the job of making this TV "smart". It will not control the on/off or volume like my more expensive Roku. That's OK, I just have to keep both remotes handy when I watch this TV.
