My objective was using the Roku to replace a Comcast set top box. My salesman was very knowledgeable and helpful.

Posted .Hello Michael, thank you for letting us know. Some channels cannot show 1080p resolution because the provider doesn't offer it. This might be due to limits in their content, technical issues, or a choice to use lower resolutions for better compatibility with different devices and internet speeds. If they have not encoded their videos in 1080p, the Roku will display them at a lower resolution. I was very pleased with the speed that the apps load. Fire Stick was horribly slow. Works great with my Xfinity app.
