This upgraded Roku Express allows me to search faster and the picture seems clearer

Set up pretty easy, but then had to call their special number because it wouldn't connect. They said I had to add a firewall to our wifi system so they helped me set up a firewall and security at quite an additional expense! Now it seems to work great with netflix but amazon prime starts and then keeps stopping and just keeps buffering....but I hear this is a common complaint with amazon!!

I bought this for my sister-inlaw so she could cancel her satelite. She really likes it and it has saved her money not having to pay for satelite.

A good entry level device for streaming. Wished I had gotten the next level up that also controlled the volume. Other than that it's been great.

Perfect for what I needed it for. My firestick died, and I decided to try Roku instead. It actually is smoother to navigate and less laggy than firestick. Simple to set up all of my subscribed apps and sign in.

The Roku is used every single day and I've never had any issues with it. I love the ease of the device and all the apps available. A solid and dependable buy!

I access my streaming subscriptions and a lot of free stuff via Roku. I've actually bought 4 of these...one for each of my TVs and gave two as gifts. It's a one-stop 'viewing hub.' I suspect it's a good thing if you travel - either as a snow bunny or if you have a cabin in the woods.

I still have a 720p TV, so the basic model more than meets my needs. I find Roku has more channels than FireTV. I had no trouble connecting the device to my home Wi-Fi. I have had this for over a year, and it has not given me any trouble. Great value if you can buy it on sale.

I love streaming shows and movies! This is also perfect for our kids room. They are able to watch their favorites with a click of a button!

I got this for my daughter who has a 50' plasma tv that is not smart. She is able to stream and do all the things she needs for entertainment. Defintely worth the price rather than buying a new tv right now.

I have an older TV and cable. My TV is still good so I'm not planning on getting rid of it any time soon, but I would like to eliminate cable. Enter Roku - Express. Setup was easy. And there are a number of channels, as Roku calls them, that are free. I did buy a Tablo which records over the air broadcasts and works easily with Roku. I am reviewing what free channels I like and which, like HULU, I want to pay for. Just like cable, you will get more than you need or want. All you have to do is figure out if its cheaper for you to do cable or Roku.

Great alternative to cable! Hate expensive monthly cable bills? Purchase a Roku and take advantage of free streaming and low cost monthly streaming channels. Some streaming channels are free. We love our Roku. We purchased a Roku to upgrade since our Blu-ray player was phasing out and no longer going to support streaming services/channels.

I ordered the Roku after learning that Amazon Prime and Netflix no longer supported the Sony Blueray I was using for streaming. The Roku is very straightforward with clear, step-by-step instructions. I'm just a casual viewer and didn't want anything overly complicated. Also, Best Buy's price was competitive with online vendors, and they have curbside pick up during the pandemic.
