The sales person who helped me was great and knew a lot about the different Roku devices. He helped me pick the one I wanted and I love the fact that it was on sale.

I think it's the user interface that makes Roku stand out. Amazon, Samsung, etc. all have streaming devices, but their UIs are clunky. That being said, I stream more from my laptop than I do from devices such as the Roku Express, but it was on sale so I figured it wouldn't hurt to have one.

We have had our first one for 6 years and it still works. We purchased this one for our daughter's Smart TV that doesn't allow for an upgrade in applications. We have bought the Sony version once and it was not as user friendly and has given out. We suggest this device to everyone.
