Almost plug and play.

Nice upgrade from a Roku Stick

We bought this Express HD to replace an older Streaming Stick in a child's bedroom that was just becoming really slow and laggy. He's happy with the better speed and responsiveness he has now and otherwise it works just as well as any Roku should.

I now have 4 Roku units on various TVs in my house and am happy with how they work. The only problem is that microwaving disrupts the signal and sends it into buffering mode.

The Roku is very straightforward with clear, step-by-step instructions. I'm just a casual viewer and didn't want anything overly complicated. Also, Best Buy's price was competitive with online vendors, and they have curbside pick up during the pandemic.

The transition to cordless

Works just like my other Roku devices with one notable exception, the remote does not turn the TV on or adjust the volume. If that becomes an issue in the future, I'll upgrade the remote to one that will control the TV as well.
