Upgrade from an ancient Roku stick. Much faster and better quality

My Samsung Tizen OS is a bit confusing, apps hang up and is generally a mess. I fell back to the tried and true Roku, intuitive menus, great signal quality, I may have bought the stick though the sale price was too good to pass up for the express. Frustration eliminated, I can enjoy my whopper screen TV without having shows dropped or frozen at just the wrong moment.

At only $30 this is a great budget option for getting into a roku or as a second unit. I’m using this one as my second roku in my bedroom. It is easy to set up, only offers an ir remote so you need to point it at the roku receiver but this has not been an issue. This only offers a wifi not direct connect but works just fine on my wifi network. I like this and will probably get more for other tvs.

Work great, no issues. Turned my old TVs into smart tvs. I have purchased and installed about 45 of these in the last couple months and they always work and there are no surprises. The only thing i do not like is that Roku makes you setup a credit card.

I got my MiL a Roku 2 a few years go and she's been complaining that it was slow and that she lost her remote and had to use the app on her phone. I bought her the Roku Express for Xmas and she's happy and stopped complaining. It's smaller much faster than the Roku 2 and it comes with a sticker to put it on the wall (yes it's that small)

Everyone encouraged me to go with Fire stick but some how i wanted to try Roku, as i wanted to try something new rather than going with the flow. Trust me this didn’t disappoint me. Later i thought i should have opted for a different Roku device which has volume controls built in so that we can avoid using multiple remotes while operating, Would highly recommend that if anyone wants to purchase Roku

I have a 2014 Vizio smart TV with 1080p resolution, and Vizio has stopped supporting the app store for this model. This Roku dongle solves that problem for me at a very reasonable price. It even offers Discovery+, which none of my other devices support yet. Unless you must have greater than 1080p or insist upon a voice-actuated remote, this device will serve you well.

It is user friendly. Easy to setup and use. Great quality.

When the pandemic started back in March, 2020 - I bought my kids this Roku device for their rooms - to help save my sanity while everyone was stuck at home. They were such a hit and so easy to use that I bought another for my room - replacing the Firestick that had been in there previously. I found the Roku to be much easier to use with less glitches than the Firestick.

This is an amazing piece of software that turned our twenty-year-old TV into something very useful and versatile. Easy to use, and very easy to stream/cast from various devices.

This ROKU device is perfect for anyone that would like to stream different apps on your TV. I have an old LCD tv that does not have WiFi so this Roku device is perfect to stream all my movies and shows . It has many apps that you can’t find on smart Tv. It’s is easy to setup and use would definitely recommend to buy it.

Buy a Roku and stop paying monthly rent for a stupid cable TV set-top box. Note that it requires an internet connection. Note also that this unit is wireless only (no Ethernet connector), so you must have a wireless router. Setup is fast and easy. Our one complaint is the lack of a numeric keypad on the remote, which means that one must scroll in the menus to reach channels. Boo-hoo-hoo :_> The remote on our first Roku failed after five years. We hope that this one is more durable. In that time we never saw the unit itself freeze or require a reboot, unlike the stupid cable TV set-top box.

Very impressed by the Roku HD device. Easy install with Apple iPhone assistance. Very low sale price of initial purchase, then purchased 3 more at regular price for all TVs to replace Spectrum cable boxes. This allows some savings from escalating Spectrum fees. I also have used the Amazon Fire-Stick but this is not compatible with Spectrum basic channels, only Premium channels. Quality of Roku remote seems superior to Fire-Stick but both work well for streaming.

Easy to install and use, this is the best way I could find to stream pretty much anything to our tv (including mirroring the screen of my iPad or Mac). If you have a 4K tv you might want to spend a little more and get a 4K compatible model, but the picture quality of this is good enough for me.

Works great. Does the job! Easy to install and use. Everyone should buy one if they need a streaming device.I bought a second one for my other TV!

This Roku player is easy to set up and use. Bought it for an older “non smart” tv and it unlocked a whole new world of choices to watch. Would highly recommend this model unless you have an ultra 4k tv. Then you will want to get a higher end Roku with higher definition.

I would definitely recommend the Roku Express HD. Bought to use on an old tv for access to newer channels. The picture quality and clarity with this combo is so improved it's like having a brand new tv when paired with Insignia HDMI to RCA Converter. Pleased with ease of installation, converter and Roku set up in under 10 minutes.

I wanted to replace the FireSticks and the Roku seemed to be the solution. However, a salesman at Best Buy suggested ChromeCast. It worked well, but I had to return it because it didn’t support Xfinity. I got the Roku and so far I haven’t had any problems with it. It’s simple to set up and use.
