I bought this exclusively as a travel streaming device, not wanting to deal with streaming sticks; and unless you're in a hotel without a captive portal for Internet access it flat doesn't work. I succeeded exactly one time using its captive portal support with an iPhone, twice with an Android (meaning I connected to the WiFi network it sets up called Direct-Roku-something or other AND got a browser to open the captive portal), never with a windows laptop. Another negative is you can't cast to this device, it is too skimpy to support casting. If you get lucky enough to have a network without a captive portal, you better have a ton of patience. Click a button, it appears to not have caught it with its narrow IR sensor, move the remote a bit click the same button, move the remote again, click the same button, start to feel maybe you should reboot it for the 3rd time tonight and all the sudden all three clicks go through in a second and you're no where near what you were trying to accomplish. With all that said, occasionally when the stars align and I have 20 minutes to wait for button clicks to accomplish something, it succeeds in streaming video, so thus two stars.

Streams my favorite programs over the internet using many apps. It even saves me some time and money because I can watch content that does not have a lot of commercials and reduce my cable bill.

My daughter loves it. The kitchen has been a multipurpose location for her. The Roku in the kitchen is perfect for her to do her different activities she does

It makes any TV an extension of your cable without the monthly device rental. This very inexpensive works just fine on a portable tv out in the yard without any additional cables. I Love it !

It works really well, allows me to use all my streaming services. It's not lightning fast but it doesn't lag either. Just keep in mind, like the listing says, no TV controls so you can't adjust the volume with the roku remote. Installation is easy, BUT the device is powered through USB and ONLY comes with the cable. So unless you have USB ports on your outlets, you'll need a USB power block like a phone charger.

The power adapter was removed from the 2022 Roku Express because the player is low power enough to be powered by nearly any TV via the TV's USB port. With the Roku stick I can access my services and set up was very easy. My only complaint is that the reliability of this product is seriously bound with your internet provider's ability to supply enough bandwidth.
